One of those two plus pick swap, like 2022 Vegas 3rd for SJS 4th or 5th. But dont really know how Vegas values those 2 so maybe this looks foolish.

With retention, I can see him returning top prospect and some middle round picks exchange. SJS prefers center. Move is done this TDL so that he stays on the team next season. Or no retention and SJS takes back cap dump which somehow adjusts the value. In my eyes, Vegas would be a good fit, DeBoer knows Hertl and they might use physical 2C who is good on both ends. Other teams that might be interested are Florida, Boston and Edmonton imo.

Some team might need them at TDL for middle to late round picks

Buyout before 2024 makes not much sense, I guess as vet presence with 15 minutes/game on 3rd pairing during the rebuild time makes more sense than giving up hella lot in a trade

With Burns gone and him healthy, he might find himself, but needs someone with great defensive mind next to him. But he is Shark for a long time, I dont see a trade (even a change of scenery) which would make sense. And I dont want to see him on PK ever again.

Feel sorry for this guy and his injury record but I think he might be done soon. Potential buyout or LTIR. If he somehow stays healthy, he can be traded with retention for mid round pick/prospect.

If Sharks go for hard rebuild, it makes sense to trade these guys. Both can land 1st+ back alone.

Forgot to trade him with Dubnyk and others for likely a late pick

I dont see these 3 going anywhere, Jones might be bought out later, Couture has very long term and is captain so he will retire Shark imo and Kane would be good physical presence and protection for young kids, but in case of good return, he might be traded as well.
