I don’t think Florida accepts that package for Ekblad and Knight, maybe just Ekblad if they’re super high on Liljegren.

Why take on extra money for a lesser goalie in MAF?

i was thinking Fleury would be a stop-gap for Knight/Woll.

I also thought FLA would get rid of knight if they draft Askarov at 12OA

Your thinking would be correct. Heck no.

It’s a tricky spot because Vegas would want to move MAF because they’re trying to lock Lehner up long term - IMO Lehner has earned his chance at being a clear 1A goalie long term rather than have a 1B in Andersen waiting on the bench. 1 year of Andersen is better for them than 2 years of MAF with a higher cap hit. As for the Leafs, they can’t afford an extra $2M for Fleury. They’d be better off spending that money elsewhere to add depth.

Florida picking Knight was a head scratcher, but even more bizarre would be them picking Askarov at 12. Odds are they pick someone else
