Description
With the trade, NY fills an enormous hole in RHD. Having 4M in dead cap for 2 years is not ideal, but during that time NY only has Zib's extension coming up.

Calgary is getting a bona fide 2way 1st line forward (imagine Gaudreau-Monahan-Nash) at less than 4M. They can afford to trade Dougie because they already have 2 PP QBs in Giordano and Brodie, and because they have one of the best Ds in the league. Plus, Hamilton has not played as well as he did in Boston. They'd also be getting picks and a dependable defenseman to substitute Dougie.

Yes. I know this roster has 24 players. Lindberg starts the season in LTIR (he'll be injured for about 2 months once the season starts). When he is fit to play, one of Jooris/Gerbe is waived.

If you swapped Zucc and Nash, the money works better, although I'm not sure I'd give up both picks...rather give players than picks right now.

How can you possibly know what teams Nash has in his list?

Money works better with Zucc, but money wise, this trade works for Calgary, and since we don't need the cap for next offseason, I'm keen to trading Nash (older, more expensive than Zucc). And about giving up players, I thought maybe Lindberg or Fast + pick, but I think this trade would make us contenders, so I'm not sure trading that many players would be the best way to go.
