Any NHL team can find lower tier players in UFA or on waivers/Europe. None of these assets would entice the Oilers. With Hall now gone, EDM has to see if Yakupov can be a top-6 player this season. However, a trade like this may be possible at the deadline if Yakupov can't find his game before then.

Those players are meh but I absolutely agree the value is fair. That being said... I doubt the Oilers move him at this point. He has one more season and it's likely he plays on McDavid's line.
