Love the idea of saying “we need a high end 2C” then blowing a ton of good assets on an overpaid C in his 30s that just had the same exact point rate (2.6 pts/60) as the younger, cheaper 2C we had this past year.

Just a great idea all around lol.

No I’m not saying he’s as good. I’m saying why in the world would you trade for a 31 year old with 3 years of team control making 10+ mil? You could keep Strome and sign a top 6 winger for the cost of Toews contract lol

If you want a 2C just trade Trouba for Johansen lol It’s easy, it’s fair.
