I dont think Tkachuck is going to be under 7 think alot closer to Aho money.
Also CBJ hangs up the phone on that trade call. as they have no use for brodie or frolik

Tkachuk's comments on Mathews' deal leads me to believe he is wanting a short term deal at UFA $. Treliving drives a hard bargain and gets him on the 6.75M Gio/Johnny cap for the first three years and Tkachuk's camp gets Skinner money (9M) for each year after the third. 5 x 7.65M

I like the idea of going after Wennberg as a reclamation project (though his WC performance may have forced the Jackets to give him more of a leash) and Bjorkstrand (RHS scorer) but I don't think that trade offer moves the needle enough to get Columbus to bite. I think Brodie + Jankowski is a good start, but they probably want another decent prospect instead of Frolik and a meh draft pick as they are moving out two young middle six NHL'ers.
