Description
I'm not sure Nashville would want that trade, but overall, I (as a Rangers fan) would be happy with this offseason plan. However, none of the wonder twins (Girardi and Staal) has been moved. What do you think?

I think Nashville can find better value at wing than 6m of Nash for two years and without giving up two assets also.

A little over cap, not an issue though since you're allowed to be over by 10%, and cap is supposedly going to be around 74-75m. What I will say is that it's hard for DG to be on the roster as the 7th dman. If he won't waive, then AV must be willing to bench him so he gets the hint that he won't play much as a Ranger.

The deal with Nashville is the most doubtful to happen. However, they are strong on defense and it appears they like Nash (St Louis, Nashville and Anaheim are the most active in the bidding for Nash). They could keep the second if that's what would hold back the trade (Ellis at 2.5 is great value).

And Girardi... it's tough. He knows he's had a rough year and he's not at the level he needs to be. An ideal situation with this roster would be to rotate Pysyk, McIlrath and DG; but I think he would understand being benched, if he can't get his game back. And about the salary cap, I forgot to set it here, but I was counting with the 72.8 million the escalator would trigger.

Thanks for the feedback!

If escalator is 5%, cap wouldn't be $72.8,it'd be closer to $74.5-$75m.
I accidentally clicked report earlier I'm on my phone and didn't notice.

If there is the fall to 69.5 M that was predicted in May, the escalator would place the salary cap at 72.8 M. Trust me, cap hell is Rangers habitat lol
