Description

New York gets the lesser of our 1st rounders to take on Cally's contract, which will just go to LTIR, which isn't perfect, but a little bit better. Tbl get a top 4 dman that has playoff experience. Vgk gets cap relief, draft picks, and a depth defenseman. While it wouldn't work in this team, in real life I would love to see TB get a guy like Justin Williams or Thomas Vanek for some veteran leadership that they provide.

That is not completely true. This season bonuses, if Cally stays on LTIR, will count toward next season's cap space.

That said, the price shown here is completely nuts, we are definitely keeping Callahan on LTIR if that's what we'd have to give up
