that's probably about what Ferland gets, I'd say close to 5 x $5.5M (similar to Tom Wilson's contract) but idk if Colorado will be the team for him. Props for giving him a reasonably fair offer though.

& 4 years is the absolute WORSE term to give Rantanen. Either give him 3 years if you wanna lower the AAV or go the full 7 or 8. 4 years walks him right into his first year of UFA eligibility, then he's walking for nothing when you coulda had him longer

I wouldn’t go after ferland imo. Not if they land Hughes. That core has dynasty in the making.
