    Can't conceive why the Leafs want Fayne, even for 2.1m. Would Anderson settle for 4m? No guarantees that Lupul and Robidas get cap relief for the whole season on LTIR.

    I heard this rumour myself the article is about How Fayne is more or less a right handed Marincin and would give the leafs another solid Defensive dman. Now I do like the trade Corrado will be nothing more than a 7th dman with us but why sign Demers. With Zaitsev, Carrick, and Fayne on the roster as right handed d the signing of Demers would just stunt the young dman development.

    Is it a "rumour" or a arm chair idea. If Fayne is good, why would EDM trade him and retain that much?
