Description
The Backes deal I think would need a little extra, but the foundation is there.

Heinen gets a 2yr lets see what you can do deal. He was having a down year until going to the 1st line. Let him get a few more years of playing with Bergy/Marchy and lets see what he's got. If he keep playing like he is, he'll get a good payday

Ferland I used Wilson as a comp

Mojo on a 1 year value build deal. With this lineup Boston should b e a serious player for the cup and Mojo could have a great year and earn a better pay day. Injuries are an issue for him and even right now he could be out for time.

McAvoy gets a AAV similar to guys like Trouba/Dumba. I went with 4 years because it leaves McAvoy 1 year shy of qualifying as a UFA. This also give McAvoy a chance to prove he can live up to the expectations. If he does, he gets his big 8yr deal when he's 25yr old.

Carlo is a similar situation to McAvoy. His deal would expire just before he's eligible for UFA status and at that point Boston would know what they have in him. He's starting to find his confidence in the offensive zone and if he can add some off he'll get his big deal when he's 25yr old as well.

Chara comes back on a 1yr $1 million deal with easily attainable bonuses that brings him to around $3.5-$4 million.

1.
BOS
Backes would not go right from BOS to MIN. After July 1st, BOS & MIN find a "middle man" to retain 50% of Backes contract. He'll only be owed $5 million total on 2yr of a $6 million cap hit. A team like ARZ might be interested. Cost some picks/prospects (nothing crazy)
    2.
    BOS
Deal is Backs + Cehlarik for a 4th. ARZ would then flip Backes to MIN @ 50% retained and get another asset from them.

That 3rd line would be hell to play against.

I've been watching some extra Canes games lately and its made me a Ferland fan. As a Bruins fan, that he laid last night was text book. I hate that our guy got hurt, but it was a clean text book hit.

He waives with the agreement being that he would immediately be flipped to Minny or another team he'd be ok with. He wouldn't actually play for ARZ or whoever is the middle man.

I think the bruins have had talks with backes about next year, and have let him know he won’t play for them. So it’s providence, or waive your no trade
