Stephan has a full no trade clause in the final four years of his contract, which kicked in a few weeks after NYR trade him to the Yotes.

Continued... Apparently because Stepan was traded before his no trade clause kicked in, Zona was able to terminate Stephan's NTC. So disregard my previous message.

Isn't that just crazy that a team can just do that? If that was me, I would tell the team getting me to go **** themselves. Thanks for screwing me.

Same thing happened with Subban in Nashville apparently. I don't know how any player would be pleased if a team did that.
