I highly doubt Marner will play top line minutes in the NHL next year, at least not at the start. Also, Brown and Hyman over Soshnikov??? I doubt it.

Laich will probably center the fourth line instead of Holland, and greening will slot in as LW.

I think Carrick will play instead of Corrado, but that could go either way. Defense looks good to me otherwise.

Appreciate the input Bucket. I agree, Marner may not play big minutes to start but, all things going well, I hope thats where he ends up. He is certainly highly skilled (the most skilled winger we have), JVR and Stammer would light it up with the pretty feeds he could offer. I also like that he will be fairly well protected on the wing to start and playing with two established NHLers. I like Sosh too but his sample with the Leafs is smallest in the group and, frankly, he's small too. Babs seems to love both Hyman and Brown, I think they get the jump on Sosh but agree it'll be interesting to see how it unfolds. I don't mind Greening-Laich-Hyman at all on the 4th line but can't see Holland riding the pine, he would be a better asset to trade for some more d-help.

I like the trades and I do see Andersen coming to the Leafs. I don't see why the Ducks need him with John Gibson. Bozak also needs to go to make room for Matthews. I understand that center depth is as important if not more important as any other position but one of either Bozak or Kadri needed to go and with Kadri's contract extension Bozak is the odd man out. I like to see Matthews and Marner on different lines because every time I think about it those two guys seem more and more similar like Kane and Toews and it would be better for them to play with trustworthy vets on their line. Similar to how you have Nylander separated on different lines. I like that you have Matthews starting on the third line. He should start the year on the third line and end on the second behind Stamkos if he comes. If Stamkos doesn't sign with the leafs then I'd like to see him as the second line either way no matter how well he plays. With their center depth they have no need to force him into playing first line center minutes.
