Marner hasn’t worked and won’t work here. He needs a change of scenery and the Leafs would get 2 great players in return

I’m sure they’d be loads of GMs in the NHL who would accept this trade if they were Calgary

Weegar is a great top pair d-man. Coleman is a good second liner, on a decent contract

And if they choose they can re-sign JAD. They have no lack of wingers.
The bolded above require waivers to be sent down (yes obviously Forsberg and Nyqvist won't be sent down).
No they love Evangelista, they will move Tomasino or Kemmel though
Just because you don't want to pay Montour 7M at max term doesn't mean he doesn't easily get it elsewhere</div></div>
Jankowski, Parssinen, Tomasino are all centers. You said they had a lack of wingers, not forwards. Not to mention Parssinen has been up and down the minors. As for L’Heureux and Kemell, they have yet to play a single NHL game… so it’s pretty hard to say they’re ready to be NHLers for next season.
It was reported a couple days ago that Nashville was interested for Marner, they’re not getting him only with Saros and one of Kemell or Tomasino. If Toronto adds Robertson to the conversation, who has scored at a really good 5v5 rate in limited minutes and still has quite some potential, it’s not disrespectful to ask for Evangelista.
For Montour, man… I’d be very surprised if he gets 7x7, I’m thinking 6.5x7 is the max he’ll get. Let’s just wait and see I guess!

Nah they lack wingers. Forsberg, Nyquist, Smith and McCarron are their wingers signed for next season (Evangelista too, but let's not include him). Besides Forsberg and Nyquist, that's pretty weak.
As for Montour, I don't think he gets 7M with max term, maybe if he signs for 5 years.
And I do believe Nashville would be open to trading Evangelista, only if they get a star winger like Marner.

I'd be surprised if Drai left. Edmonton will throw the bag at him. And he'll get at least 13, so 8x11 is really unrealistic

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>StDetroitBlueWings</b></div><div>If it's such a win win for the Blues then why are you offering the trade? Your reasoning is honestly hilarious. Clearly there's a reason you're making the trade so your "win win" scenario is just a poor attempt at gaslighting.
Trade isn't happening. Not sending our 1RD for a player we won't want to pay his demands. Is he good? Sure. But not worth 10+ mil which is what he will demand. And certainly don't want him at the expense of our only defensive defenseman on this team.</div></div>
You do understand that a win-win trade doesn’t mean that it’s a good trade only for the Blues right? A win-win trade means that both of the team get better following the trade…

That's insane. 100 point player selke finalist and Parayko is getting paid till his late 30s. You guys get younger, we shed some cap space. That's a win-win

This is a really good lineup, the only problem is the lack of forwards who could play on the PK. I wouldn't sign Perron. I'd trade Robertson for a pick because I'm not sure he'll work out here. I'd also use Perron's money to keep Kampf and sign another PK bottom 6 forward

I'm pretty sure the whole "legal part" is useless in the NHL. I remember Jack Campbell signed a 5x5 after like 10 seconds that free agency started

To be honest I don't think Timmins really has a trade value. If so, not so much. For Robertson, he has his flashes, but nothing exceptional. Both together could maybe fetch a third, but I think a fourth is fair. As for Marner, I 100% agree with you. But I think that if we trade him, we're probably not going to get as much of a return as we would have liked (because of NMC/final year/playoff struggles/AAV)

Inflated numbers or not, that is a fact. It also a fact that he’s a very skilled player regardless of who he plays with, or else you wouldn’t be hypothetically trading for him. Ullmark is a rental, who not only will be getting a raise, but who likely won’t want to resign in a location like EDM. It’s a pretty easy no for EDM. They can improve goaltending now and longterm without having to trade RNH.</div></div>

Dude, they need a goalie so bad. They get a top 10 goalie, you have to pay for that. RNH's numbers are inflated because of who he plays with

To be honest I'm not that high on Minten, Robertson will probably never work here, and Marner's contract is quite expensive. You get your legit number one defenseman who is elite offensively and defensively.
