They can sign all 3 but i wouldn’t bet on paying anyone else until Nurse is up

The proposition is a trade for Hronek, I think Hronek isn’t that good & alot of his production comes from Quinn, Rielly is not QUINN,so this is useless

Hronek wants 8 mil, this is not a good trade for the Leafs, Knies is worth more not in the sense of market value but team value, he is a very good young power forward who did fantastic in the playoffs, I rather pay someone else 6-7 then lose Knies & have to pay Hronek, that’s your own problem in Vancouver

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>poeticentropy</b></div><div>Really don't understand why Leafs fans think they will receive a large return for Marner right now when he can veto any trade, essentially picking any team to go to, if any. His playoff performance was terrible this year. I guess he'll make sure NSH get into the playoffs again? Are we basing it on comps?
Saros on the other hand does not have a say, but would be Toronto's best goaltender since.. I don't even know. Opens up Cap for the Leafs</div></div>
Because Mitch is a 90+ point scoring winger with selke defence, he had one bad season (still over a point per game) & bad playoffs after being over a point per game the previous 2 years, The NMC is the only hurdle to really jump over & even that is small one if he’s willing to waive, asking for one more asset or two is not far fetched especially if Mitch comes with an extension, imo it goes the Eichel route
1st,B+/A Prospect (Idk who that would be) & a roster player (in this case Saros)
that is not an extreme far fetched concept especially with the way Goalies are usually valued in trade

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>Massively?
The f*** are you on about?
By your own admission, that's $40M tied up in FOUR players. Sounds EXACTLY like the Leafs. How's that working out for you guys?
The cap is going up FOUR MILLION, which only gives Minnesota $7M in cap space this off-season. Will it go up in consecutive years? Maybe. Unlikely, but maybe.
But you don't build your roster around maybe's. Particularly when it comes to cap related reasons. We will have $40 Million to resign 10 players, or did you miss the part where Minnesota only has 11 players signed through until the dead cap goes down?
Depending on Faber's contract, the Wild will have only roughly $30M left to resign RFA's like Wallstedt, Khusnutdinov and Ohgren, AFTER signing Faber. Plus they'll need to fill out the rest of the roster too. $30M for 9 players goes pretty quick there, guy. Paying Mitchie Boi another $12M means the Wild would only have $18M left to fill 8 spots. $18M left for all RFA's in need of a contract, any additional UFA depth additions, plus a likely goaltender to replace Fleury after his retirement. Since it seems likely Gustavsson is also on the move this off-season.
So please, explain to me again. In big Boi words. How Minnesota is expected to pay half of it's future roster in two years with only $18M in cap space. I'll wait.
And don't sit there and say the cap's going up again. It's not a viable response or argument. Because you don't plan out future contracts and roster plans on maybe's or potential possibilities.</div></div>
UNLIKELY to go up in consecutive years?, it’s projected to spike massively, are you that naive?, seriously & sorry if your GM can’t figure out paying RFA’s with 18 mil in cap room (more likely it’s near the 20-25 mil mark unless you plan on keeping Foligno & Gaudreau’s full contract), it is easily possible if you sign your RFA’s to bridge deals not to mention likely 25% of your prospects will BUST or not reach their ceilings that means Qualifying offers bud, unless you’re telling me your bottom 6 is making 3-5 mil a comtract?
Your concept that the cap “might” go up is a complete fabrication especially with the boat anchor that was Arizona now gone & done with, The cap is expected to SPIKE MASSIVELY, GET THAT THROUGH YOUR SKULL, it’s not “oh it might”, IT WILL SPIKE TO NEARLY 10-15+ mil in the next 3 years

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>How are you affording Faber's next contract then? By all accounts it sounds like he's getting at least $9M.
The team cannot realistically afford Marner at $12M, Faber at $9M, and Kaprizov at another $12M. Not with the roster as constructed or even with the increase in cap space. There's just not enough to go around.
Even if you COULD make the money work. You're just turning the team into f***ing Toronto. Who can't afford to ice a full roster because it's too top heavy and can't afford quality depth. So that's an excellent strategy.</div></div>
THE CAP IS GOING UP, YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY STOP ACTING LIKE THE CAP ISN’T MOVING, IT’S SUPPOSED TO JUMP MASSIVELY NEXT YEAR WHEN MARNER IS UP & YOU GET 13 MIL OF DEAD CAP OFF CAP AS WELL, YOUR CONCEPT OF “oH wElL jUsT bE tHe LeAfS wItH nO mOnEy FoR dEpTh”, the Leafs would have been got depth IF THE CAP WASN’T STAGNANT GUESS WHAT NOW IT ISN’T, TEAMES WILL BE PAYING MULTIPLE STARS SOONER THEN LATER
MARNER AT 11
FABER AT 8-9
KAPRIZOV AT 13
BOLDY AT 7
IS NOT CAP HELL WHEN THE DAMN THING IS GOING UP, YOU’Ll have around 40 Mil im Cap room in 2 years & you’re actually saying “Well we have no money”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GeauxPreds1</b></div><div>I know I wouldn’t want to add too much more to saros from this pred fans. Marner may be elite but he also comes with a big price tag. And getting rid of that contract helps Toronto fill more needs on the defense. If they could Marner into saros and say pesce then I think they have a better all around team. I’m hesitant on Marner because will he be able to produce without an elite center</div></div>
Bro they only get around 6 mil in cap room that is at most 1 great D-man

Necas to Toronto
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>Right, sure! Gonna need someone to play after Marner gets moved for pennies on the dollar</div></div>
Pennies on the dollar?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, yeah sure buddy whatever you say, multiple reporters have literally said multiple teams have already called about Marner & if Dubois can get a decent haul so can Mitch, now go move Necas somewhere else that needs a player like that the Leafs are not that, not to mention he WANTS TOP LINE MINUTES & PP1 Time, he isn’t getting that in Toronto he is a natural centermen but we have a guy named Auston Matthews he’s pretty good at 1C don’t need Necas, Knies is also a non starter, he was a draft steal & a perfect complimentary power-forward to the team especially on an ELC
You want something they can give you Liljegren,Minten & picks or anything in the bottom 6, That’s really it, Knies isn’t worth moving for Necas, sorry not to mention you say JT fell off the face of the earth, he had more points last season than Necas so who really fell off from his 70 point season eh?

“The same” he has never been close to a PPG player in the playoffs, not to mention he has one of the best coaches in the NHL in Cassidy while Mitch had play it safe Sheldon not to mention he had a high ankle sprain & for a guy known for his edge work & deceptiveness that is a massive reason for such an outlier playoffs after 2 great years in the postseason
