<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>It’s easy to blame one player rather than the structure of the team. He was t the Kings only problem, but I do think they wanted him to drive his line more and his play in the playoffs was brutal.
Like it or not, he had a reputation as a clubhouse complainer in Winnipeg and flat out dogging it on shifts is something he is always going to live with. Winnipeg also improved their record by 15 points with that being the primary move they made pre deadline.
Unlike other Boston fans, I can see a path where Sweeney acquires PLD if Ullmark is incented to go to LA. My guess is it only happens if he knows he is out of the Lindholm UFA picture and even then, it’s an uphill battle. Physical time in the air from Stockholm isn’t as different as you’d think for flights and LA has a lot of direct flights. Its probably more the time zone difference.
I’ve been watching hockey longer than you’ve been alive. That said, incremental returns on knowledge after about 10 years are nominal. :)</div></div>
I don’t care if you’re an old man. Yeah there’s plenty of old people like you.
27 years of watching hockey and I’m under 40. Oh btw I’m also a female.
I started watching hockey at 7 years old. Iv been to Long Beach ice dog games.
Dad grew up in Minnesota playing hockey. So it’s in my blood. His favorite players were Bobby Orr and JP Parise

I understand this. Danault is suppose to be 3rd line.
I’ve been watching hockey for 27 years and im not even 40 lol. I understand how teams build their teams.
I’m still ok with PLD for now at least. I’m not going to put the blame on solely him for the Kings losing which a lot of people including Kings fans have done and it’s obnoxious.
Most people hate the guy because fans have labeled him a cancer in the room. He hasn’t been with the Kings and he wasn’t with WPG. CLB…yeah he was young and very immature. He had no say in where he was going to be traded. He had slight an advantage this year due to is UFA status next summer. He told WPG he wasn’t interested in signing so Chevy found a couple suites and the Kings had the “best offer”

I hope you are right, but I find your take on his play to be woefully optimistic
Villardi was impressive this year and you also gave up an 8.5M contract. I thought Iafallo was solid for the Kings, but he wasn’t worth his salary.</div></div>
Vilardi is the piece I was a little upset about. Never thought he’d be on a different team so early. Love the way his game play is.
Yes this year he was better than Dubois but he also can’t stay healthy. I don’t teally trust his back problems.

Honestly I like this team. If kings can get a player like moroon for that big player asset. I like Thomas way better than tiny Lizzotte. Thomas has scoring ability and is kind of a bulldog.

Almost every other Kings fan acknowledges it. You seem to be in denial</div></div>
Lol ok east coaster
EaSt CoAsT BeAsT CoAsT. Blah blah blah
Vilardi and the 2nd are the only thing of value that went back. I’m not worried at all. I’ll take a 25yo center who is very capable of scoring on average 60pts.
That’s why people like this poster always trade for him and slide him right into the 1/2 C spot. Every one slots him there cause they know he has value.
Your in denial bud.
Also he’s not necessarily a 3rd liner but it sure is nice to have that center depth that most teams don’t have. He scored 40pts. Ok. I’ll put money on him scoring close to 60 next season. Prove people like you wrong.

But I doubt doughty waives.
Not a fan of korpisalo. Take out englund (trade him elsewhere) and take out koripsalo I don’t hate it. Maybe also get rid of the first unless there is a deal in place.
I really do like this lineup though with 22 man roster and 1.5 left of cap space. But taking out korpisalo would open the door for Portillo who is very close to be called up to the nhl. Korpisalo would block him.

Highly doubt you even watch the Kings. You have no clue what linemates he was playing with. Played with a 3rd/4th line player and a rookie. He played well with arvidsson and fiala.

Adding a prospect like Fraser doesn’t get this done. Knies maybe but I wouldn’t. Rantanen is a beast in the regular season and playoffs.

Kings already don’t have picks 2&3 for ‘24 draft.

No you’re not getting a player that’s turning 22yo and a C/LW and a 1st for marner. It’s very possible Byfield hits 70pts next season and 6-7 years younger with a ton of upside. He’s already showing he can be a physical and scoring threat at 21yo.

If Wilson went on the trading block he'd have 31 teams salivating to get their hands on him, the price would go through the roof. He's a unicorn. The fact Marner has only 1 more year on his deal and has been dunked on for his effort and playoff play, I think a straight up swap makes sense. But again, Caps are never trading Wilson.</div></div>
I’m really not sure all fan bases would salivate. His contract is pretty bad considering he’s 30 And has a M-NTC FOR 7 years. He barely can stay healthy for 82 games.
If he was 27 maybe 28. Then probably but I think caps are stuck with him for now. Even if he puts in his destination for teams I doubt you’ll get full value for him.

I bet you think cozens contract is an absolute steal lol.
It’s a medium risk high reward. I’m fine with PLD being a 60pt player at 8.5. The cap will rise significantly and he’ll probably count for 8% of the cap next season.
You people have a vendetta against this guy for something you think is true. Which is pathetic. PLD is not a cancer. That’s something the fabs labeled him as for that one stupid shift in CLB which is sad. That organization is not great right now and then got traded to another mediocre ORG. In WPG. HE had the right to say I’m not signing with you, even as an RFA. I don’t blame him for wanting to play for LA and live in Manhattan beach.
People are so upset because of that ONE shift and they are soft as ****.
