Pens fix
If Anaheim really isn't on Graves' no-trade list, I'd accept that offer as the Ducks GM and figure out what to do with the glut at LhD later.
But in the real world, Pittsburgh would never make that offer.
And that's a big overpay for Pierre-Olivier Joseph, both in money and term.

Toronto will be keeping Marner until after FA Frenzy at the absolute minimum. Nobody will be giving up those sort of assets until the dust settles. Therefore, the 2024 picks are out of the question and Evangelista will also remain a Predator.

The Guentzel Gambit
Guentzel will want term. No way he say yes to anything less then 5yrs and per year you take off 7yrs he probably asks for an extra 500k.
Teams will line up to offer him 9+mill x 7

The Guentzel Gambit
I think Guentzel’s new contract should be $9M x 6 years or $9.5M x 6 years.
$9M x 3 years is ridiculous.

Boeser
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Subbanator7667</b></div><div>It should enough for Boeser. I'd compare it to the Debrincat trade, Debrincat was younger, had produced better, was healthier and got 7th overall. This is 6 spots back of that foran older player, who just set a career high with a team that all seemed to set career highs and is a couple years older than Debrincat was at the time of the trade.
I think that's the best comparable</div></div>
The gap between 7 and 13 is huge and it's also very different in the sense that van is not actively moving Boeser

marner cbj
Foolishly, I thought we were past bad Marner to Columbus trades. No, a rebuilding team is not sending you their captain, top prospect, and a recent 5OA pick for a player that doesn't make the team better who will walk in a year or demand 12 million dollars a year. Nor does that player, who is Toronto born and raised and very fond of his endorsement deals and attention, waive his full NMC to be traded to a rebuilding team in a non-marquee city. This is so stupid. I am so tired of this conversation.

Mikheyev and moving Jarry
Pens wouldn't make the Smith trade 1 for 1. Mikheyev has an extra year on his contract. Vancouver would have to add a pick/prospect.

Would Love To See This
In general, I like this. But a few things:
1) Zadorov is probably looking for something north of 5 maybe even 6 million.
2) I'd rather slot DOC at 3LW and pay a 1LW rather than paying Joshua.
3) I'd like to see someone like Roslovic play 3C and keep Ponomarev play in Wilkes for the year.
4) I'd love to see Yager play, but he likely plays in the WHL for one more year.

When Brady gets to the playoffs, he is going to be very successful in the playoffs so the leafs would have no interest…

Testing an idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AyitGat</b></div><div>It's not possible for wild to do this especially this year. Do I want him , yes. Wild have 6-8 mil this year to fill out 8 roster spots, fill out AHL team too with a bunch of NCM's, Just not happening either as wild are paying Brock Faber this off-season, and Kaprizov next. The reason wild are also trying to trade Rossi is they see Danila Yurov as the long term 1 or 2c with Eriksson Ek down the middle.</div></div>
Thanks for the input!
While I realise they have some cap issues, I mapped it out in an AGM and it's possible even without trading Gustavsson. It involves keeping a largely similar roster and running with only 22 players so it's tight, but still possible. After this year, the cap issues disappear with 29mil in space with only Faber as the major re-signing to do.

I think you're way overvaluing the jumps for most of these teams. Past 5oa there's a bunch of players that could go 5-15..

Mock
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JuanDamienNebraska</b></div><div>Yeah, though a contender, I don’t see COL bringing in Tanev. A resigning with DAL is much more likely.
Are you convinced that Manson will be dealt this summer? If Mittelstadt resigns, and Nichuskin and Landeskog are expected to return, I could see a cap crunched COL running something along the lines of:
Toews - Makar
Girard - Manson
Johnson - Malinski
Jones</div></div>
I am not at all convinced. But I would trade him if it means Tanev was the alternative. But, I don't think they trade any players until they hit some cap crunch if both Landy & Nichushkin are eligible to return.
Honestly, I think this team is capable as it is currently constructed to win another cup and don't see any reason to overreact at this time.

Chevy needs to avoid that trade. He can't trade Winnipeg's best trade chip for one year of a player they don't need.

Lightning 24-25
Tampa very, very quickly passes on these trades. Cirelli has considerably more.value, and Tampa does not need to move him to make the roster work. They'll likely add a mid round pick to move Sheary by himself, and Jeannot may or may not be able to.return something small. The Cirelli trade is as fast of a decline as Tampa can make though

Yeah, I really have to say that my fellow Canucks fans proposing to "offload" his contract on this site - I've seen a few - has me a little bit ashamed of our collective intelligence. He is on a super efficient contract and can play all three forward positions. He was also part of one of the best 5-on-5 lines during the season. You don't trade that guy...
Also, that Hronek contract lol
