Playoff Sens
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens65</b></div><div>If we're giving up Chychrun with 50% retention we should be getting Lindgren back at least.</div></div>
My gut tells me that goaltending wasn't our biggest issue last year. At times is was painful to watch, but I think theres a reason goalies do so much better when they leave Ottawa and it's because our defense god awful and soft. If they bring up Kleven, get TVR and sign Myers our defense immediately becomes bigger tougher and harder to play against. I'm almost 100% positive our goaltending situation improves if our defense toughens up and gets bigger. Id also much rather add assets with a Chychrun trade, let Kleven get more games in and sign a guy short term than buyout or give up assets to get rid of Korpi and then have to give up more assets to get a guy like Saros, Markstrom or Ullmark and the situation stays the same.

For me its mostly that Kaliyev played under Staois and Andlauer in Hamilton. Adds a little bit of size and speed to the bottom 6

I just added him for Kaliyev because I think Kaliyev to Ottawa is almost inevitable at this point and Brannstrom could use a change of scenery

I think Parekh's offensive upside alone is enough to make him top 5 worthy.

Trading for a goalie is a terrible move for Ottawa imo. fix the D first and the goaltending will improve

Brady isn't available and if for what ever reason he's traded to a division rival team it's gonna cost extra.

My Crack at it
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caufield</b></div><div>putting aside injuries, he would be a top 3 lock. Obviously injuries occurred, but it is highly unlikely he drops farther than 5 (MTL clearly takes him over Catton). Maybe, maybe 7 if MTL decides to take Iginla over Lindstrom</div></div>
I think MTL is in a tough spot unless Demidov falls to 5 which seems highly unlikely. I think they go Iginla, but i'd have a tough time picking Lindstrom over Catton since Catton had similar a similar goal pace and a higher assist rate than Lindstrom. Adding the injury concerns, I think Gorton and Hughes stay away from him in the top 5. His ceiling is insanely high but the risk might not be worth it with Iginla or Catton there

Mews having strong ties to Ottawa makes me think if hes there we pick him. Would love to see Letourneau or Beaudoin at the boston pick

I think his upside is better than most think, maybe Jiricek and Mews are safer picks, but Emery's potential is quite high for me. I think San Jose could very easily flip 14th and pick lower to get one of those right shot d guys, but Im very high on Emery and think he's gonna be a stud.

Depends who they want. If they want to go D, they would jump Seattle and Buffalo. If they go F they jump Calgary and Jersey.

2024-25 sens
Moves breakdown:
1.Bonk is meant for Ottawa. Trading down 5 spots should be fair value considering what Chicago just paid to move up a couple spots in the mid 1st
2. Chychrun for Ehlers looks like a steal for Ottawa but is a rare case where it works for both teams, Ottawa gets a speedy winger, Winnipeg gets a solid #2 puck moving D
3. Not sure what Leasons value is but I love his game and think he fits well in Ottawa
4. Philly needs a goaltender and Forsberg could very easily bounce back so the trade is low risk for Philly only giving up a 6th
5. we need Pinto back, and a small aav bridge makes the most sense considering salary cap
6. Crookshank is a solid depth guy and i loved what he showed in his few games up
7. Leason is a big body and a quality depth player imo
8. Myers is a big rhd which is what ottawa desperately needs. also played for Green in Vancouver
9. Dreidger had a down year but I think he could easily turn it around in Ottawa. Bring him home please
