2nd round pick is appropriate for Kaliyev, but you're not going to want to play him on the 1st line. Nor will you want him at LW.

He's a solid 3RW and a power play specialist. He's not very good 5v5, although his defensive game is very underrated.

You're right, that's an overpay for Kaliyev -- he's worth a second or a prospect, not both -- and with your dance card, you guys shouldn't be throwing seconds around.

I'd be charmed to get Dylan Duke or Ethan Gauthier for him. But you're probably reluctant to trade some youngster whom you just signed.
