That doesn't get Marner on his own. Flames management aren't dealing with Trev, there is some major resentment there.

Calgary doesn't want Marner at all. You wouldn't get Markstrom or Andersson alone for hiim.

Id assume any trade with someone like Marner would have an extension

I wouldn't. Especially not if the new team isn't a top contender and wants him to take a paycut.
