So if the leafs could trade him to a team with cap space l wonder if he could play 10 games then retire and still keep the bonuses that have already been payed. Leafs get 11M in cap space and JT gets his money.

    I could be wrong but I think if a player retires, they don't get any of the money they were owed for that season no matter how it's paid. Plus, he probably wants to keep playing.

    Avs pass; they can't re-sign Marner and he's a bit redundant anyhow with Rants, whom they will almost certainly re-sign

    Get real the Avs aren’t ever ever ever doing that hare brained trade. They have waited 2 years for Landy their Captain to come back. Marner is nice but let’s face it he sucks balls in the playoffs. Literally CMC laughs Brad off the phone
