Thats not something you joke about right now.
One of the main sources of Moral during their War is Hockey in Russia.
I mean look at Fedetov and the lengths they went to keep him in Russia.

NHL's Russian Population shrunk too down to just 5.8% of NHL players are born in Russia (almost half of what it was a decade ago before Ukraine invasion
I mean maybe if CAR skipped the ELC and just straight up paid him bank so Russia could get enough taxes off his Salary to justify it
But even then they need the moral Boost of a guy like him in the KHL
