Columbus would definitely be interested in Miller but Miller won't waive his NMC for them. Also if Columbus trades a defenseman it'll probably be Gavrikov a pending UFA who doesn't seem to want to resign with them.

If Vancouver trades him before July 1st he can’t block it, his NMC doesn’t kick in until July 1st 2023

Also, Vancouver would be more interested in a Boqvist because he’s a RHD and young

True, I knew that, just forgot about it when posting this. smile

Yeah but Columbus isn't likely to trade Boqvist if they're going to lose Gavrikov regardless and it's looking like they will. Gudbranson with retention maybe, he isn't fitting in very well in Columbus. If it's 50% retention Vancouver might be able to flip him to the Flames for a pick or prospect and almost certainly if they retain another 50% (1 million).
