That is a lot for Zegras. The Flyers should just keep Brink, although you do have a logjam on the right side. I do see that

Someone read this: https://www.nhl.com/news/topic/nhl-draft/mock-2024-nhl-draft-experts-split-after-celebrini-levshunov-silayev

Anyway, Johansen is LTIR. No one is going to take him.
Flyers stick with Coots imo unless his agent is demanding a trade. Huberdeau contract is a monsterrrrrrrr.
Laughton ain't getting a 1st after this year.
Zegras starts with Foerster.

Part of the package is due to them eating Risto contract as well

If this trade is on the table with Calgary I think the flyers consider it. Huberdeau is 2 years removed from a monster season, and doesn't have the injury history that coots does.

Flyers do not consider it without 1st coming back. CGY sent a 1st for 2 years of Monahan; Flyers would be taking on an additional 27M in salary for this swap. I have no problem with Coots toughening it out the next two years and then calling it quits and being put on LTIR for 4 years.

We're not interested in a quantity package, we'd demand an impact piece as the basis for a Zegras trade, so it starts with Foerster, not Brink.

You can work Risto in, but Z doesn't move without an impact piece.

That Hub for Coot trade is an interesting idea but I think ultimately the deciding factor, if there was some serious consideration, is would Huberdeau flourish with Torts as his coach? I doubt it. That for me would kill the trade.

I don't think that Zegras is on the market, at all. We'll all find out at the draft, because a high 2024 pick would almost certainly be involved.

I don't think that you'd have to pay to move Ristolainen per se, but it would up the ante on a Zegras deal. So that if one occurred, it would probably be Foerster plus Ristolainen plus your own first, or the Vegas first if you were to obtain it.

Since it's pick #36, I'll lay heavy odds that Columbus reclaims its 2024 second.
