It's a shame Dubas wanted to make a big boy "first day on the job" move mistake by trading for E. Karlsson only to figure out he needs to rebuild not contend 7 months later.
That EK65 trade set the rebuild backwards by 2 seasons.
So he got hired by an ownership group and told it is time to "win now". Well he went out and made a big deal. I was one of the few who did not like it simply because I knew we were going to be at this point back in August. Old teams do not win things. Now that we see what I believe was inevitable, we also see that there is a clear cut change of direction. It is a year overdue but it is happening now. He has to start to rebuild even if they avoid that word publicly. We are so bad that we may very well finish in the top 10 of the lottery and if that happens we get our 1st back. All of the sudden then that EK65 trade goes form meh to not too bad.
