ROUND 1TEAMORIGINALPLAYERDETAILS
Logo of the San Jose Sharks-No surprises here. Celebrini is a lock for 1st overall. Even though he didn't participate in the U18's, I do suspect he will play for Canada during the WC. There are no glaring holes in Celebrini's game and his upside is similar of Carlsson and Fantilli's of last draft. Player Comp: Sidney Crosby
Logo of the Chicago Blackhawks-Demidov is starting to solidify himself as the clear #2. Even though there are injury concerns with him, whenever he's healthy he's about as good of a player that Celebrini is. However, there's more risk involved in taking Demidov given that he's Russian. While Celebrini is more of a shooter, Demidov is a playmaker. He isn't shy of shooting the puck, but Demidov is a pass-first winger with a strong 200-ft game. His skating is better than what scouts are saying, Demidov has shown that he can play with speed. Player Comp: Nikolaj Ehlers
Logo of the Anaheim Ducks-defender in the draft, but as of now I personally think its Dickinson. Why? I believe he's the most NHL ready guy and the most complete defender in the draft. While there's some question marks about his offensive game, he can skate well, has size, and plays physical. Offensively, Dickinson has one of the best shots in the draft, but where the concerns are is with his hockey IQ. Sometimes with the puck he makes head scratching passes, often misreading the play. But once again, Dickinson is the complete package and can be a minute eater at the NHL level. Player Comp: Noah Hanifin
Logo of the Columbus Blue Jackets-plays a similar game to Dickinson, however his offensive game is less consistent. But he's much bigger, can skate with speed, and make dynamic defensive plays. Offensively its a coin flip essientially. There are stretches where Silayev is amazing then there's also stretches where he's non-existent offensively. But whenever the offense is there, Silayev can make a lot of stops. Just needs to improve his puck handling. Player Comp: Zdeno Chara
Logo of the Montreal Canadiens-defender, but I value defense more than offense, and Dickinson plus Silayev are better defensively. But while Levshunov does play with size, the decision making is very raw. The offensive potential for Levshunov is unreal however, with his shot being the best asset. Levshunov has amazing puck skills and can make a lot of hard passes look easy. Overall, excellent defender, just his decision making needs major improvement. Not as high on him as I was in the beginning of the year, where I had him #1 on my board. Player Comp: Hampus Lindholm
Logo of the Ottawa Senators-It was very tough to rank this player. I see Lindstrom going as high as 2nd on draft day given his size and speed, which is a combination that is extremely hard to find with certain prospects. Though Lindstrom is more of a power forward, I see him being a GM favorite and a noticeable presence on the ice. He's also really smart defensively. But injuries are a thing and that's Lindstrom's main downfall. Also puck skills are a minor area of fixing. But once again, the combination of size and speed being super rare is what would Lindstrom an early pick come draft day. Player Comp: Roope Hintz
Logo of the Seattle Kraken-This is probably my boldest take to date for this draft, but Stiga is a prospect that's been rising heavily on my boards. And he's established himself as a top player in the draft. Currently leading all 2024 Draft Eligibles in points as I'm writing this. But the parts that put him way ahead of the class are his defensive game and skating, two things that I value the most while ranking prospects. Stiga is the best defensive player in the draft and the second-best skater in the draft (I believe Connelly is the best skater overall). Offensively, the points don't jump out at you, except the U18s, but its decent enough. Stiga just lacks strength offensively, often he won't power himself through defenders. He mainly finds the open area. Excellent player, super underrated, Stiga will prove people wrong within a year or two. Player Comp: William Eklund
Logo of the Calgary Flames-Some may think this is too high for Eiserman, and I get it. His game outside his shot is incomplete, but there are two big things that NHL coaches can easily teach younger players: team defense and skating. Under the right coach/mentor, I see Eiserman's defensive game and agility (he is speedy) improving big time. Though whoever drafts Eiserman is getting unreal offensive potential, his shot is monsterous and he does have decent hockey IQ and giving his teams more scoring opportunities than before. Player Comp: Patrik Laine
Logo of the New Jersey Devils-This is where I have Connelly, and once again like Eiserman, some people may think this is too high. But if you ignore the off-ice issues, talent alone he's worth drafting inside the top 10, heck even top 5. He has recently apologized for his actions and has owned it every step of the way by taking a solid USHL season. He's also currently doing great in the U18, but not as impactful as Stiga and Eiserman. Connelly is the best skater in the draft and can pretty much provide everything in terms of offense. Defensively he's very raw, but as talked about with Eiserman, coaches can easily teach that. Player Comp: Jack Hughes
Logo of the Buffalo Sabres-At the beginning of the year, there weren't many forward options until the mid first round. But now those forwards have improved their game and have risen. Catton isn't the biggest riser, he's been around my top 10 for a while now. In fact, he drops a few spots given his slow playoff performance. But whenever he's at his best, you can bet on him in all situations (though his defense won't translate into the NHL right away). Whatever team drafts Catton would be getting a poised center with skill and smarts. What needs big improvement is his size and strength. Player Comp: Marco Rossi
Logo of the Philadelphia Flyers-Helenius is pretty much the same player as Catton, offense-first guy but can be bet on during all situations. Same dynamic playmaker, but Helenius does lack consistency and physicality in his game. Had a slow U20, but is slowly redeeming himself during the U18s. Also has experience against men. Player Comp: Alexis Lafreniere
Logo of the Minnesota Wild-Iginla after getting traded to Kelowna has really solidified himself into a strong candidate for the top 10. Pure goal-scorer with a booming shot, high hockey IQ, and slick puck handling. Can also make decisions in a hurry. And as everyone knows, he's got the bloodlines for a solid NHLer. But defensively, he's inconsistent, he does lack physicality and isn't explosive. But skating can be taught easily. Player Comp: Chris Kreider
Logo of the San Jose SharksLogo of the Pittsburgh PenguinsBrandsegg-Nygard, who I like to call MBN, is the next player on my list. Pure power forward with smart offense, defensive stability, and grit. Just lacks physicality and discipline in his game. Player Comp: Matthew Tkachuk
Logo of the Detroit Red Wings-Offensive game alone, Parekh belongs in the top 15, I could see a team inside the top 10 even reaching for him. He's a pure offensive defender with smooth skating, slick puck handling, and a booming shot. Can also make hard passes. However, there are many holes defensively, Parekh's game off the puck is very raw which is why he's lower on my board compared to others. Player Comp: Zach Werenski
Logo of the St. Louis Blues-Yakemchuk is a similar player to Parekh, but he's bigger and a slightly worse skater than Parekh. Like Parekh, Yakemchuk is another offensive defender, but also provides size and physicality on the ice. But there are some holes in his game, decision making and positioning are very raw. Player Comp: Brent Burns
Logo of the Washington Capitals-Biggest riser to date and its not even close. Sennecke has really turned his season around after having a slow start. Starting to solidify himself as a top 15 player in this draft. The overall toolkit on him is incredible, Sennecke plays with insane hands, amazing hockey IQ, and is also a solid skater. Only real flaw on him is his frame, which has steadily improved throughout the season, but there's way more growth coming up in the near future. Also his defensive game needs big improvement, I wouldn't really bet on him at all during the penalty kill. Player Comp: Matt Boldy
Logo of the New York Islanders-This may be slightly high on Chernyshov for some people, but the upside is there and totally worth the 18th spot. Get the potential out of him without letting the what-ifs haunting everyone, whoever drafts him is getting a reliable top 6 winger. Chernyshov is a strong power forward with unreal hands, strength, and a solid 200-ft game. However, Chernyshov hasn't been consistent in terms of production this season. His agility isn't great either, but he does play with speed while using his strength to get around defenders. Player Comp: Pierre-Luc Dubois
Logo of the Vegas Golden Knights-Greentree is a similar player to Chernyshov, power forward with an unreal offensive toolkit. But the big differences are that Greentree is more consistent but worse defensively than Chernyshov. Greentree's overall effort in his own end is lackluster and he is really slow, affecting his play during the backcheck. However, there are certain GMs that go off the board for players because of size, I could see that happening with Greentree. The highest I see Greentree going is 12th. Player Comp: Juraj Slafkovsky
Logo of the Chicago BlackhawksLogo of the Tampa Bay LightningThis is where I have Jiricek. Whenever healthy, he plays like a top 10 player in the draft and in fact he did have the pedigree of a top 10 player coming into the season. But his injury took a big toll on his stock and he's dropped. But given the two-way game alone, Jiricek still belongs in the top 20. Big kid, booming shot, great skater, and insane defensive smarts. Has the tools to become a GM favorite, just staying healthy is the top priority for Jiricek. Also keeping his emotions in check is another area for improvement, he tends to take too many dumb infractions via stick. Player Comp: Darnell Nurse
Logo of the Los Angeles Kings-Hemming is a worse version of Stiga, we have another defensive forward on the board. The main differences between Stiga and Hemming come mostly from offense, Stiga's offense is better, Hemming's is good but he needs to improve his puck control. But Hemming does have the clear edge in size, but as learnt with such players like Benson, Caufield, DeBrincat, size doesn't even matter anymore. Player Comp: Elias Lindholm
Logo of the Nashville Predators-This is where I have Boisvert. He's the most up and down prospect on my board, there are many stretches where he looks like a top 10 player, then there's other stretches were he's invisible on the ice. But whenever Boisvert is at his best, he's a dynamic two-way forward with unreal offensive skill. Player Comp: Blake Wheeler
Logo of the Toronto Maple Leafs-Another bold take, but I have Bednarik here. He is this year's Nate Danielson, defensive center with size and silky feet. Bednarik does have the offensive tools to succeed at the big leagues, but he does need to work on his play with the puck. He is too selfish with the puck, he tends to keep it on his stick too long and avoid the clear shot opportunity. Player Comp: Phillip Danault
Logo of the Anaheim DucksLogo of the Edmonton OilersSmart offensive threat that plays with size, but defensive effort and consistency needs improvement before his NHL debut. Player Comp: Jack Eichel
Logo of the Colorado Avalanche-Basha is a solid offensive threat whenever on the ice, from the playmaking to shot. Great skater as well but needs to work on his flashiness defensively. Some shifts he's unnoticeable without the puck. Also the production, could it be benefitted with players like McKenna and Lindstrom on his line? Player Comp: Artemi Panarin
Logo of the Ottawa SenatorsLogo of the Boston BruinsArtamonov is a similar prospect to Basha, but the reason why Basha has the edge is because of skating. I don't like Artamonov's skating, but whenever he's on the ice he never takes a shift off. Player Comp: Fabian Zetterlund
Logo of the Calgary FlamesLogo of the Vancouver CanucksI see Parascak as this year's Gabe Perreault, though a bit rawer in terms of talent. High point producer who needs to improve his skating, but the playmaking, shot, and skill is there. Defensive play has a few question marks and Parascak doesn't play a physical game. Player Comp: Tyler Toffoli
Logo of the Montreal CanadiensLogo of the Winnipeg JetsI would have Burrows ahead of Hemming given that he's a center and Hemming is a winger, but Burrows is a high schooler that has just transitioned to the USHL. Last year Nadeau was selected very high and broke through in the NCAA, I see a lot of potential in Burrows and him taking a similar path. Burrows is more of a two-way defender, whether or not he can stay consistent against higher competition is a giant question mark. Player Comp: Mark Stone
Logo of the Philadelphia FlyersLogo of the Florida PanthersLetourneau is another high schooler, but while Burrows is more of a two-way guy, Letourneau is more offensive. Mainly a power forward center, which is hard to find, Letourneau plays with size and skill. Whether or not he can stay consistent against higher competition is a question mark, but like Burrows, he already has a few games of USHL action under his belt. Player Comp: Tage Thompson
Logo of the Carolina Hurricanes-Hutson's defensive game has really improved, don't overlook the size, Hutson will be as good as his brother. Player Comp: Torey Krug
Logo of the Dallas Stars-The injury concerns around Kiviharju and the bouncing around different leagues worry me, but teams should have learnt their lesson after Raty and Lambert. Player Comp: Shayne Gostibehere
Logo of the New York Rangers-Smart two-way defender, similar to Pavel Mintyukov. Can do the right things defensively but offensively the shot power needs improvement. Player Comp: Pavel Mintyukov

I think your comments look good, but I do think I would shuffle the order a bit. Also I would say the player comparisons for the top two picks should be a little different. Maybe some Crosby in Celebrini but I would lean more towards maybe a Point type guy? Idk i would have to re-watch his tapes, I just don't think he takes over the game like Crosby/Ovi/McDavid could/can. For Ivan I would say more like Krill the Thrill but Ehlers isn't too bad there
