He still definitely has the ability to be a 40+ point player, something about this year just seemed off with him. I still don't know if y'all would want to take him, but he has the ability to be a steal at 2m. Also has the ability to be a waste of a roster spot tho. Its kinda a toss up.</div></div>
I think we would be more inclined to just play one of young guys in that spot. We need a true top 6 forward, not a bottom 6 one. We have a few players like him and unless Minnesota was going to take Fabbri back, probably not worth it for us. Just don't think a deal can be made with Detroit but maybe there is another team he would waive to.

He played some of the year with good line mates and other parts of the year with not so good line mates. He is going to be a perennial 55+ point player for a long time. He's worth way more than what this offer has his value at.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JPM</b></div><div>Is Rossi that good? I wouldn’t do that trade for him. Laughton would probably be worth more at trade deadline, definitely was with the going price for centers.</div></div>
The health bit really cant be emphasized enough. He very well could have died through covid and then overcoming the mental aspects while youve been physically limited for so long.. I wouldnt wish that on anyone.
I'm a Sens fan but watch a lot of 67's game and the CHL cancelling the playoffs really took an opportunity away from Quinn and Rossi to showcase their talents on the biggest stage. Likely wouldve won the league and competed for a Memorial Cup. All that to say he's been dealt the short end of the stick consistently since he's been drafted and as much as Quinn is coveted by the Sabres and every trade involving him gets torn to shreds by Sabres fans, I think Rossi may still be better. Give him time to catch up on the missed development but i think he can do more than 55/season, very few players i root for more than him.
I know Zamula and Lauhgton are good pieces for Philly but this trade would be a steal.

We could make a decent sized list of guys who should be here way ahead of Bedard. Miller, Hintz, Thomas, Scheifele and Eriksson Ek right off the top of my head.
Edit: O'Reilly, Karlsson, Kopitar. They just keep coming.

Good pickup by the Bruins, seems like they pivoted to Nelson after missing on Quillan. Seems like he'll fit right in on the Bruins, excited to see his development

Well I mean gm’s consistently rate brodin as the best defensive defensemen in the league. Hell they’ve said he’s the basically the choice of anyone to shut down McDavid 1 on 1…… but he’s overrated.

If Minnesota were looking at blowing it up all together, then MAYBE JEEk is on the block. Maybe not even then. He is their most irreplaceable player not named Kaprizov, and they are nowhere close to that scenario. So, the Wild say no.

Ducks 24-25 Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SimonVenell</b></div><div>I like Lacombe and eventually having him back in MN would be pretty cool, but we aren't trading for defensemen right now and especially not with one of our top 3 or 4 prospects.</div></div>
That's fair, that trade really was more about the Ducks alleviating a position this offseason where they have a backlog. I went with Minnesota for the homecoming factor and also because besides Brodin they don't have any LHD signed past next year and just guessed they might have some interest in a young NHL ready defensemen for above Meryll/Chishom in the depth chart. The return might've been too much though, so I'd get it being for a different player or with a different team entirely.

Watching this exact same roster again next year would be torturous. Bring in some kids or sign someone. Seasonal Affective Disorder is already real enough for some people, no need to compound it by a full season of Johansson/Zuccarello in the top six and that fourth line.

It seems that C has been a depth problem for some time there. Ek is phenomenal and Rossi should be your 2C. What are the plans then for 3 or 4C?

Copying the Blue Print from Last Season
Minnesota isn't buying this year. Why would we give away picks when we are 8 points out of a playoff spot? We will very likely be further away at the actual deadline since we only have 1 game before the deadline and both wildcard teams have 2 games. We could very easily be 12 points out of the playoffs with just 19 games to go.

Build Kent a statue
-I don't think Anaheim does this. I personally think they don't move Zegras at all, but if they do it's going to be for a high-end NHL ready prospect, not a B-tier prospect and a pair of picks. I think it's more likely that you would see Zegras for Slaf 1 for 1 than the Ducks bringing back picks.
-This feels weird for the Habs - giving up a pick to get a guy like Turcotte who looks interesting but would need a new contract and comes with injury red flags. I think I'd pass on this one if I'm Montreal.
-Extremely easy pass for Minnesota. Dvorak costs way too much for what he brings to the table for a Wild team that will still have the Suter/Parise buyout anchors next season.
