Minnesota Wild signed Marc-André Fleury (1 Year / $2,500,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Otto_Kirov</b></div><div>They still got two more years of 14mil in dead cap, couldn't have seen them very active this summer anyway, especially with a pretty weak crop of UFAs.
He's not been great, but that familiarity with Flower is a bonus while Wallstedt continues to grow.</div></div>
Only 1 season of the buyouts at the high amounts.

No no no! Stop telling people the PNW is fantastic! It rains 365 days a year all the big cities are terrible, stay in the Midwest! Lol

Trading Jared Spurgeon
I doubt Spurgeon waives his NMC and doubt BG trades him when it becomes a 10 team NMC.

Each of these trades are declined by the other teams. Wild fans will need to temper expectations for possible returns for these players. Almost all the players values are at their lowest right now.

Next year
After Fleury agreed to sign in MN for 2 years to finish his career, I'd think the chance of him waiving are slim to nill. Only chance is it's the 2024 TDL, the Wild are out of it and it knows he's going for one last cup run. Plenty of other moves MN can make to make the cap work the next two seasons.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jnowariak</b></div><div>Maybe. I think if the AAV is gonna go that high then the term is gonna be longer, 2.5 is too high on a bridge for me. Thinking the Skinner deal as the comp and that was Kaapo’s 2nd contract after his ELC.
I do think there is an incentive for Gus to take a lower cost bridge that gets him to UFA where he can cash in on playing.</div></div>
Yeah the Skinner deal of 2.6 x 3 years works too. Both contracts make me think Gus is getting 2.5+ at 2/3 years.

After the signing
If Gus keeps playing well and gets somewhere around 30 games and 2.5-2.75 GAA I think he'll get something between 2.5 and 3 million for 2 years which would be pretty similar to what Kaapo Kahkonen got last year.

I'd be good with sending a 1st and a prospect for Dach, probably not a 1st and Addison. Your value of 1st with Beckman or Hunt is probably fair imo

Personally I think trading him for a winger is a mistake</div></div>
Trade Fiala for best young Centre available sounds great to me. Off the top of my head best options from some teams: Ott Pinto, NJ Mercer (doubt they'd trade him), LA Vilardi, ANA Perreault? (no chance on McTavish), NYI Raty, Canes Necas.

Bill Guerin LAUGHS At Your Pitiful Offers
Nicely written, fun to read.
I don't see the Wild keeping Fiala or him signing for only 7million, but we sure don't know for certain. Rossi would be a better fit on a Fiala/Boldy line imo. I believe either Dumba or Addison will be moved either this summer or during the season before the TDL (Dumba). Middleton looked good paired with Spurgeon so keep them together.

If this got 2OA I'd do it. Fiala will be moved, Addison is probably stuck in a 3rd pair role and who knows if a 24OA will pan out.

Potential Fiala Bids V2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jnowariak</b></div><div>The other thing I just realized is that an offer sheet is straight pick. No conditions. And it would be the 23 pick.
Of teams like NJD or OTT want to protect their 1st, which I would bet they do, they can’t offer sheet. All these little rules change the cost one way or the other. The biggest thing driving up the Fiala move is that he is the most affordable (relative to other options, he’s not gonna be cheap, I know) goal scorer available. Lots of teams want to make the next step that all have good pieces to put in play for him and it’s not like you’re trading for a guy that turns 30 next year. DeBrincat is the premier guy and some team that figures out how to get him is gonna be very happy. But Fiala just works for more teams.</div></div>
This is why I don't really worry about an offer sheet too much.
I'd be ok with an unprotected 1st in 23, a 2nd and 3rd as the return for Fiala.

Don't see the Wild trading for 1 year of Miller as they wouldn't be able to resign him. They'll trade Fiala for futures most likely.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TanSor</b></div><div>Probably not. Fiala is a great piece, but that 1st is a late one and Dumba only has a year left on his deal. You'd probably have to offer Fiala and Rossi to get the Sens to even consider it. Even then, I doubt they do it</div></div>
2022 1st, Fiala and Boldy and I still doubt they would take it for Norris.
