Not having a guy who has proven he can be a starter is a good reason why they cant win a cup.
Also garland isnt worth near that.

Every Leafs team for the last 7 years or so has been good enough on paper to win the Cup. This is no different.

Garland had more goals, more assists, and more points. A better GPG, APG, and PPG. Better G/60, A/60, and P/60

Garland also had a better GF%, SF%, FF%, CF%, xGF%, GF/60, GA/60, SA/60, FF/60, FA/60, CF/60, CA/60, and xGA/60

So please tell me how Jarnkrok is better?

Never said he was better, just that if garland is worth such a haul for putting up such meh scoring numbers suddenly then jarnkrok must be worth a haul too because he's cheaper, doesnt need to be retained and isn't much worse an over all player.
IE, you are massively over rating a middle six guy's value

Liljegren, Robertson, and a 3rd is hardly a haul for a 45-50 point winger who’s extremely good defensively and an elite play driver with 50% retention for 2 seasons

He’d be the Leafs best forward outside of the core 4

Bertuzzi is probably a bit better and Knies could very well be better by next season. But yeah, he’s definitely more valuable than Jarnkrok, especially at the same cap hit.

He really isnt worth that much and considering the leafs 5th best forward signed is 21 year old just starting to adjust to the league knies or journey man mcmann or middle 6 guy jarnkrok, thats not impressive. It doesnt make him valuable to any significant extent.
And it's just extra funny when canucks fans were trying to give this guy away here everyday up until about 4 or 5 months ago
