I really dont see why any party involved in SJ would want that deal. We lose someone who loves it here and wants to be a part of the rebuild for someone who will be gone next year and will absolutely not want to play.

I don't think the Sharks do the trade, but there's every possibility Couture doesn't play hockey again. He played 6 games this year just before the all star break and even with that break he couldn't keep playing after almost 2 weeks off. The only reason he wasn't put on LTIR by the Sharks this year is they never needed the cap space.

This does nothing fo SJ. Keeping Couture since he can just stay on LTIR is not a problem since we have plentyh of cap and cash. Dumping Ferrero as the price to take on Johnny Cement boots no thanks
