Insane overpay for Necas, any one of those pieces is probably fair value, tho I'm not sure that Byram as a lefty would be much interest for the Canes.

Yeah, I agree with the guys above, you are overpaying for necas by a fair amount. Nobody is paying for Bryson, I'd be floored if somebody offered a 6th for his rights (at least his contract was up, he was overpaid by about 800k). I like the henrique idea, of course you can substitute for any vet defensively competent center. This team would be preposterously soft, like rolled by girlscouts for lunch money soft.

At least Carolina wouldn’t be able to say no to that overpayment. God, for that price we should clone Necas and have two of them share a salary. For that overpayment Carolina should have to vacate their 2006 Stanley Cup. 😆

What do you think would be a fair price?

Based on previous winger comps, a late first and a good prospect. The thing is the Canes shouldn't move him for fair value. In this ACGM you've given him a 5x6.25 contract, and if that's what he signs Carolina will likely keep him. He fills a role (top 6 winger) and the Canes as a competing team need those more than picks/prospects. In the offseason the Canes biggest needs will be winger and RD, so if there were a comparable young and/or cost controlled player coming back they might move Necas.

I think it is more likely Necas is packaged with a pick for an upgrade than he is sold for pieces.
