Georgiev is great and Annunens been solid, the Avs problem the past two years hasn't been goaltending. Hard pass for Ullmark at that value

Wings

Thats probably close to what he'd go for. Its a risky pickup but Nichushkin at his best is a dominant player that could put some fringe teams into contending. My guess is he ends up on a team that missed the playoffs by a couple points this year (like Detroit). Good for both teams

Those are the two UFAs they should go after IMO, Trenin fit well and Kivi seemed to get better every game. Doubt the Nichushkin contract gets terminated but someone will be willing to trade for it, the return won't be great though.

It doesnt sound like it gotten worse but it doesn't sound like its gotten better. The most recent videos of him skating don't look too reasurring.

No crazy blow-ups what could Val return
Probably gets traded for a worse replacement or for future captial that can be moved to fill the void he leaves. Really hard to imagine him ever coming back with his nameplate being removed from the lockeroom after game 5.

Certainly not moving Girard. Moving the Val contract at a loss, Landeskog is probably never coming back so they will have plenty of cap room.

2nd cup lets be honest
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>Yeah, good point. Though I think they'll be well clear of the line by then. All the teams between 3 and 11 besides Vegas and the Blues are killing it right now. That stuff won;t last. Nashville is 9-1 or whatever, soon enough they'll do the opposite. They've done it like three times already this season. Calgary won't keep winning. Seattle won't go 7-2-1 every 10. And Vegas will pull their socks up and remember to play hockey soon enough. Lots of new friends in town to take ice time away, they'll wake up.</div></div>
They've got a better chance of qualifying than another team beating them out. But like nearly every fan outside of Vegas I would love to see them miss again.

Avalanche lineup after Deadline
Swap Lekhonen and Drouin and I think thats pretty accurate. I really want to see Mittelstadt with Rantanen at some point. I think when Parise is healthy he'll be in over Duhaime.

2nd cup lets be honest
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>I understand the feeling, but you're getting way ahead of yourself here. Just for starters, two of those players in your team there are currently out with fairly serious injury recoveries, and there's no assurance they'll be back or fully fit for the playoffs.</div></div>
Or if the team even makes the playoffs

Cheaters
Its not cheating, its a high risk, high reward strategy, which is likely why GMs/owners haven't voted to close the loophole. Theres a solid chance they miss the playoffs. If they make it though, they'll have an absurd advantage over other teams.
Persoanlly I think the loophole should be closed, and many fans seem to agree. But the league only listens to its owners.

I despise Vegas and the favoritism they recieve from the league but this is a great deal for them. A great return even before six years of retention. What is Grier thinking?

Updated Playoff Lines
I think you put Droin on the top unit with Mac or he gets scratched tbh. Got no idea where Kovalenko fits in but he probably starts with fourth line minutes. I'm curious to see if the Avs make another trade for a natrual center to fill the 4C spot

Yeah their forcheck is gonna be relentless. The bottom six was a glaring weakness, pretty much all players outside the first were playing up a line and the depth suffered as a result. Cmac made some great moves the past few days.

Still expecting a trade for a backup goalie but really like these recent additions.

It wont happen but everyone except Pittsburgh wants it
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jbc149</b></div><div>The only people who want it are in Colorado. Pittsburgh would need to be "blown away" for Sid... think about what you're want for Mac and Makar... then offer that for Sid.</div></div>
It'll only happen if Crosby wants it to, with his NMC he could control where he'd want to be dealt, the hull for him would still be a lot but not as much as you'd probably think. Look at Kane and Giroux trades recently. That said, the Avs would probably have to part ways with one of their top 5 d in the trade. Swap Byram with Kovalenko and it seems fair.

Flyers offered Gautier for Byram and the Avs said no. Really doubt the Avs trade a roster player mid season unless its for a long term solution at the 2C spot.
