Exactly! Only reason I see Mtl moving up is because they really want Demidov.
If they're good with Linstrom or Iggy, stay at 5!

I absolutely I mean absolutely disagree with I repeat you. This trade is dumb for Mtl.
Cirelli has a bad contract.
It might be good in 3 years when the cap goes up, be he's a 3C.
No 3C makes $6M+ in the NHL.

Curious to know which part of my post was so dramatic. Yurov being the best center in the trade or trying to show you how bad the proposal looks from a non habs fan perspective?</div></div>
Read my original post properly. I never said Yurov *wasn't* the best C prospect in the trade. The other person had mentioned Minnesota would want a better C prospect than Yurov, and all I said is I don't see another team offering a *better* prospect than *Yurov*
If you think Mtls offer here is worth 4 2d round picks, sorry, you're a moron. If you're being overdramatic to prove a point, than no one will listen to you.

Minnesota sees Yurov as the future 1C here, and one of the primary pieces that they hope entices Kaprizov to extend. It would take a better center prospect to move him. Matheson as the centerpiece with a bunch of other super mediocre/average prospects isn't even close to what Minnesota needs to consider trading Yurov.</div></div>
Ok, fair point, and I agree. BUT, if Minnesota were to conclude they can't re-sign Kaprisov, then this trade is very enticing. I'm not sure any team would offer a better C prospect.
And by the way, this is why I don't understand why they want to move Rossi. He's going to be a great C.<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>squashmaple</b></div><div>When you find yourself still adding more and more pieces to one side of a trade to make it more fair, it's a bad trade.</div></div>
There is a lot of value going to Minny here. Just because Minny has the best player in the trade, it doesn't discount the solid Dcore coming back the other way.

To confuse things a bit more (*wink*), if CGY's '25 1st were dropped from the deal, and it came down to MTL's #5 OA & WPG's #27 OA, along with Beck and Reinbacher, the Hawks would be fools to pass that up, IMO.
If I were MTL, Reinbacher would be the deal-breaker for me. Although... if MTL really wants/needs elite star power - with Demidov fitting that description for them - then maybe they'd accept it?
Thanks for the conversation!</div></div>
No. Reinbacher is not part of the conversation.

Ya I get what you're saying about Lindstrom/Demidov. The issue for the CH is we can't afford to draft another injury-uncertain prospect. Dach is supposed to be our 2C and he's one more injury away from maybe having a very short career. That's why I don't want to draft Lindstrom

No Habs won't trade that.. because that 2025 1st rounder can also be a strong lottery pick, obviously the Habs wouldn't trade that.
That CGY pick is pretty certain, most of the conditions are already gone. Its almost certain to be CGY's pick next year

Personally, I wouldn't have much interest in Arber. But, that would be a pretty insane offer I think would be very difficult to pass on. Then again, you can get all the assets you want, but one great player for the next 20 years could be worth staying put. My initial feeling is that CHI would accept, but it's still something that I would have to think about before making any brash decisions.</div></div>

Personally, I would take Buium over Levshunov, and I'm definitely not drafting Buium 2nd overall. So, that should tell you where I'm at.</div></div>
So, just for Hits and Giggles, what would you accept to swap #2 with Habs #5?
Would you accept Wpg 1st rd, Cgy 1st rd 2025, Arber Xhekaj and 1 of Beck/Mesar?

If We Draft Levshunov 5OA Trade Up for Sennecke 12OA
My thoughts, if Mtl trades up for any pick, it better be from #5 to #2. If they have to trade 2 more first rounders and give up a player like Xhekaj, I don't care.
Only untouchables are: Suzuki, Caufield, Guhle, Hutson, Reinbacher, and Fowler.
Besides that? IF Montreal stays at 5, there is a 100% chance Lindstrom or Iginla is there, take one of them.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Garak</b></div><div>haha. Idk about that. CHI needs offense more than Montreal does. We are stacked on D. We could maybe use a bit more depth of right shot D, but our GM doesn't seem too concerned with handedness. Demidov has to be the right answer for CHI at 2nd overall. I can't see any other way for them and it's unlikely we will ever be picking quite this high for a while. But I guess we'll see.</div></div>
I don't know. To be completely honest I don't think CHI is 'stacked' on D. But yes, I know not everyone shares my opinion. Properly an unpopular one.
If I'm CHI, its tough. Because if Reichel and Nazar were further ahead in their development, I would definitely take one of those Dmen.

However, Anaheim and Chi are 2 teams who I think would consider trading down to #5 with Montreal. THey can use Dmen and they both know Mtl needs Omen

Don't agree. Marner has full NMC and his contract is up. Leafs won't get fair value for MM, who is also overpaid to boot.
I agree Kings would have to add, but Leafs won't get someone like Mccann for MM
