Hawks aren't in a position to be trading away 1sts. They need to stick to the plan. Rebuilds take time. No quick fixes.

Not that Marner would wave but that's like a great scenario for a 1st rather than pick than a potential bust ?

If Marner came with an extension that the Hawks liked, I couldn’t agree to this fast enough. But! We all have seen how Marner acts during contract negotiations.

The last thing the hawks need at the moment is a player who holds off playing until he wrings every last dollar from the org he’s playing for. If it’s up to the hawks to negotiate an extension w/Marner, I say no way

Hawks game plan is to build a team that can win a cup, not play lights out in the regular season & then fall apart in the playoffs. I know that came out very aggressive but just being honest. Davidson isn’t parting with 1sts for anyone, until he feels he has his core in place at least.
