Interesting considering Yzerman's comments that they were planning to keep him in Sweden.

For reference, Edvinsson and Wallinder both came to GR after signing their ELCs. (Though Edvinsson was also in his D+1)

The sooner he gets to the NHL, the sooner Seider can be used more effectively and the team's overall defensive production will improve.

The left side of the future is pretty much: Edvinsson, Walman, Wallinder/Johansson they really need ASP to become a 2nd pair staple as soon as possible.

One more year for ASP to gain muscle and elevate his overall game and good luck he might be NHL ready.

I have also have fingers crossed for Andrew Gibson to make it NHL eventually.
He could be a beast!

Yeah a solid 3rd pair guy at a minimum. Also should include Shai Buium on the left side; he could be in the mix as well.

I mean I can see situations were that's not the case. Really only with NCAA players who may have been better off staying in college

Somebody always votes no on ELCs and I really want to know what happened to make them so bitter.

He looks like he could be a big part of DET's blue line in a few years.
