You should be banned from ever watching so much as a penguin highlight again for trying to trade Sid for Pierre luc dubois. What the heck bro. Seriously

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tjm220</b></div><div>$2 million isn’t that low, and my thinking is he’s not actually an upgrade over Girgensons. He has playoff experience which Girgensons doesn’t, but that’s all he has over him. You could say he had a bad year last year, which would be obvious. But I don’t know what he’s got left to give. That and we’ve seen plenty of AGM’s here where he is moved for fifth or sixth round picks, so I’m inclined to believe if you want him, he shouldn’t cost much at all. But I’m also inclined to believe the Sabres aren’t looking for a multi year deal for a fourth line player.</div></div>
they are not the "same guy" nor is Girgensons "better" than Acciari at what Acciari does. Girgensons is a 47.7% FO last year. For the last 3 years he's been under 50%.
Acciari is a defensive specialist who is really good on the dot. Last year he was 54.5% on the dot. That's 7% higher basically. That's a significant difference.
Acciari had no help or rotating AHL nothings on his wing most of the year last year. It is what it is. All D zone minutes, doesn't lead to big points.
In 5v5 play Acciari's zone starts are 85.6 in the Dzone, Girgensons is 52.1.
It's not even close to "the same player" in the "same role" and it's like you are just making it up as you go.
Either way. 850k buried isn't some player you need to cut bait on to "getting rid of his contract."
His contract isn't bad at all.

his contract isn't that bad, it's 850k x 2 buried if they buried him right now. That isn't anything significant.
He's a very solid 4th liner. Good PKer at a very low cost. You over here going on like he's some burden to the team....

not nearly enough to do this.
That nurse contract alone is worth atleast 2 1st round picks.
Campbell another.
EDM doesn't have the assets to get this done. Nor do they want to spend them.

Sure, but you aren't getting nearly enough back to be doing the Oilers a favour like this. A late 1st, a 3rd, and a guy who has been having development issues?
To take on the Campbell and Nurse deals? Keep in mind that money they free up is to pay Draisaitl - You're charging pennies on the dollar

Imagine if Hextall Didnt Ruin The Team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Haymaker26</b></div><div>Let's be real, do you really think this team is an improvement over what we have now?
Lafferty is a 4th liner at best, and both he and Blueger are seeing much less ice time in the playoffs. Marino's defense was much better last season than this one. Trocheck had 10 more points centering mostly Panarin and Lafreniere than Malkin had centering mostly Smith and an injured Rakell. Trocheck isn't coming close to 67 points with wingers like Malkin had for most of the season. Replacing Geno with Vince would be a downgrade.
The team's depth is still suspect, and in hindsight the only guys Hextall shipped out who I particularly think make the team better are McCann and Matheson.</div></div>
Outside of the Malkin/Trocheck swap - I do think it's a better team. If we're correcting Hextall's mistakes, then we can also remove Carter's contract too which would give like 7mil to add another forward to help with depth

Pens 2024-2025
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>edeangel84</b></div><div>Sorry but this is all over the place. Each trade has some serious issues, especially the Vegas one. They aren’t going to give away a cheap young Dman for that pile of scraps. I can’t imagine Nashville cares to take on Rakell without moving a great deal of cap back and they wouldn’t have any need for a guy playing in Europe and another guy who could clear waivers. No one is going to give up anything right now for Graves contract. It’s also not worth it to us to pay to dump that contract, so he has to stay.
Jake resigning here is a pipe dream. Chatfield will probably make 2.5-3 million as a UFA. Why is Carrier signed to play on the left? I don’t see any reason to keep Acciari. Put him on waivers and if someone takes him good for us.</div></div>
pretty sure that M-NTC is going to prevent Acciari from going on waivers.
I do think one of Eller or Acciari should be moved out if not both. But that's easier said than done.
I'd rather move Acciari maybe OTT or BUF if they are not on his list.
To add to the problem list, Sprong will not play here again....ever. I am sure both sides agree to that.

That is maybe the worst comment I’ve ever seen on this site. You wouldn’t trade a good top 6 winger for the literal best dman in the league, who’s a top 5 player overall and only 25 years old, and signed on a team friendly deal for the next 3 seasons? That’s absurd
