Conor Timmins Scouting Reports

Timmins had a fantastic training camp in the fall and looked poised to win a regular spot in the lineup. Unfortunately his season suffered several set backs with injury and illness. He ended up dressing for only twenty-five regular season games, averaging 16:00 TOI at even strength and the power-play. He doesn't penalty kill at the NHL level and didn't dress for any of the Leafs playoff games.

Timmins can manage the puck on the power-play as a distributor / QB but he isn't elite in the role. His defending is mostly sound. He fronts his opponents and uses his size and length to his advantage. He isn't overly punishing but he was credited with 34 hits and 28 shot blocks in 25GP. His (+9) statistic defensively is impressive.

Best described as a 2-way / at times transitional 'D'. Timmins is signed for one more season. His cap hit is $1.1M.

At the Leafs training camp to start the 2023-2024 season he was off to a fantastic start before going down with injury. His career has had its share of starts and stops due to injury.
When healthy and playing to his identity he is a capable puck mover who can slide into a second unit PP unit. Walks the offensive blue line, laterally, and directs pucks on net from distance. Has sound vision / outlets pucks well. Average plus defensively. Leans 2-way 'D' with secondary transitional element. Handling weight and keeping opponents to the outside via zone entries can be more consistent defensively.
