Can't see Buium falling out of the top 10, but I'm guessing Jersey goes with a forward. Agree with dgibb though, this pick could get moved.

Nah, don't want Connelly. If he's got character issues, don't want that in the organization.

I think NJ could get Markstrom without trading Calgary the 10th overall pick.

I'd hope Buium goes top 10 to get someone like Dickinson, Iginla, or Catton to NJD, excellent prospect but another OFD doesn't make sense for us.

Would have to take Buium

Would also be cool with
Eiserman
Connelly
MBN

Otherwise, trade down

That's what I've said about Iginla, if he goes in the top 8 then at least we're getting one of the top D men, then we ended up with Catton in this.

I’d be willing to pay a decently hefty price to ensure Dickinson in NJD if he falls past 6

That's who I want too, perfect replacement for Noah Hanifan. Probably one of the most NHL ready too.

It’s been heavily looked at…and it sounds to be much ado about nothing. Amazing skater, tons of skill. Transition machine. Problem with Devils is that we are already deep in those areas.

Probably ready to be a solid contributor by 25-26 exactly. Bring in a 1 year stopgap (for example trade up and get 8th+Dumoulin from Seattle) play that stopgap for 1 year, let Luke and Nemec get some more experience, then bring him into the lineup

Isn’t he also on the smaller side? We’ve got enough small skilled guys. At least Eiserman has some size.

He is 6'1" but thin...probably plays at around 6'1" 180 lbs...so size should not be a big issue. He is evasive too.

MBN would probably be one of the better fits for NJ honestly. Good potential, 6’1 but big, NHL ready. Could make a lot of sense

We like the littles. Small lockers here...and saves money on fuel.

Sennecke? That's a reach. Between these guys, based on "best player available", it's Eiserman, Helenius, Brandsegg-Nygard, and Buium... and I think it will actually be Helenius

But isn't he also another playmaker? Eiserman just fires lasers and we've got guys like Hughes, Bratt, Palat and Nico ( to a degree ) who pass first.

I am not anti-laser! I am pro-laser, pro-Eiserman!

Just saying the risk around Connelly has been quelled a bit as reputable people have vouched for him (Nate Leaman, USA Hockey, etc). And reports from NHL teams is that they have walked away with positive impressions (which is a long way from from Scott Wheeler claimed a majority of NHL teams have him on “do not draft” lists, despite later admitting no scout or GM ever told him he was DND). It’s a little silly when people compare him to Mitchell Miller, when there really isn’t any comparison (Unlike Miller, Connelly took responsibility, accepted accountability, talks about his mistakes openly and maturely).

On the ice, he probably ends up looking a bit like a cross between Jack Hughes and Clayton Keller…with smidge of Zergras flair. The skill, skating is undeniable. Completely justifiable with 10th overall pick.

Now we’ve got a three-way tie!

(Can we trade down to #12?)

So in your opinion, with scouts and coaching coming out saying some positives on this kid, do you think he goes top 10? For me personally, if Sam Dickinson is available at 10, that's who I want NJ to take. If he's not, I want NJ to take Eiserman.
