Catton is a former 1st overall pick in the WHL.
He represented Team Canada, as an under age , at the U18 Worlds in the spring of 2023
His season got off to a terrific start at the Hlinka / Gretzky Cup in the summer. He captained the Canadian team and led the tournament in scoring (5GP - 8G - 2A - 10pts)
Catton's elite element is easy to identify. He's gifted offensively. Similar to other high end players he's aggressive directing pucks on net from all angles. He attacks zone entries, off the rush, with solid pace. More importantly, he has fantastic vision and spatial awareness. When he sees a lane, he drives the play to the net.
Pure offense. Average plus on the defensive side. Not likely to PK at the pro level. Has chance to be F1 scorer and contribute on the PP. Competes. Difference maker.
