PIT doesn’t even need retention, so if we go for Kuzmenko it certainly won’t cost two 2nd round picks.

Oilers say no.

Oilers can get a 3rd or 4th for Ceci..
It makes more sense to buyout Campbell than to lose a valuable pick that could be used to get a good player.

Not to mention that your current GM has absolutely sabotaged his own division by trading players to the top teams.
The Oilers are never dealing with someone that dumb.

yeah i agree with that.
I think maybe just 1 2nd round pick.

But I'm not sure the penguins would do this trade. Could they resign him? He's a UFA. Pure rental most likely for the penguins. It's not like the penguins are the most attractive place for a FA right now.
Everyone knows it's a team in decline and soon to be rebuilding. So this is probably the wrong trade partner.
I would think a team like EDM would be a better fit or even COL. Possibly even the rangers.
Those are all teams in a window, would probably like the firepower in their offense and the 2nd round pick is a late pick they would view the value to be worth it.

If we do target Kuzmenko, I’d say a 2nd would be fair, but yeah I’d want an extension for sure. Even if it’s short term. I could see that benefiting both parties.

As for those other teams you mentioned, I don’t see them having the cap space to bring in Kuzmenko. Maybe the Rangers, but I think they’d be better served bringing back Roslovic with a cheaper aav. Ultimately, I think CGY should try to extend Kuzmenko.

Yeah i think on COL with retention it would be needed, but also, if Landeskog stays on LTIR.
I believe there are questions about his back.

As for EDM I'm assuming they move out Kane.
I don't know. I think there is room on both teams to make it work for a cup run. He'd be better option in my opinion than a TDL rental. They just need to make the cap work.

There are no questions about Landeskog’s back it was his knee and his exactly on track from the 2nd surgery. His skating has ramped up significantly in the last month, the problem is he had a surgery that nobody has ever had in the NHL but hey somebody has to be first.

COL isn’t doing that trade. Georgiev has been fine in the playoffs, COL’s problem in the last 2 losses have been ill timed defensive lapses.

Well that's a massive overpay by Dallas. Take out Bichsel and you're in the right ballpark value-wise, but Dallas still doesn't want to take on Coleman's contract. Would rather spend $5M upgrading the defense than swapping middle-6 wingers and losing our best defensive prospect.
