I dont see why ottawa trades their captain even for all those pieces. It just doesn't make sense to me.

It's mostly Pellikka and this year's 1st. The other 2 are just to balance the cap some, and Ottawa could flip them for maybe a couple 5ths or 1/5ths.

Yeah it would take a stud young piece if they move Brady.

Or a top 5 pick + decent young player

Would you do a package around Edvinsson? EK + Edvinsson would be cool 😂

I hope ASP is a stud. I was thinking of doing Matta and Berggren with ASP if that moves the needle, but I figured it seemed more fair to put him in the trade for NYI's 1st. I can understand the same division thing.

This would be a very gritty looking 1-4, the goaltending could be worse, but the blueline is a LANDFILL fire outside the top pair.

He's really good, and seems comfortable moving bodies in front of the net

We don’t need to trade a top line power forward for a LD. I’m not as high as I used to be on him. He will still be a very good player tho

please use a little bit of common sense. how are those 2 pieces in any way fair for tkachuk. do you seriously think no other teams would blow this offer out of the water if tkachuk was actually available.

this is why you don't do drugs kids. a mid 1st and a decent prospect is not going to get a a ppg power forward like tkachuk signed longterm. you should honestly be ashamed of posting this crap offer. Tell me what is Ottawa's motivation for doing this trade. or did you just not think those things matter in your dream world.

I'm guessing you have no idea who ASP is.

I'm guessing you have no idea who tkachuk. asp is a decent prospect. He is not a blue chip prospect like wings fans love to say.

But seriously homer you tell me how is this offer fair for tkachuk.

Give some rational or something. would the sens ever touch this offer? maybe take your bias out and use a little bit of critical thinking. I know its hard but come on try a little bit. tkachuk is a unique type of player in the league. your really think the sens would be jumping on this offer. like omg asp is such an amazing prospect!!! what a joke.
maybe stop being such a homer.

If this guy wanted to make the offer even a bit fair he could have added kasper or edvinsson. Both of them are better prospects than him

I would do Edvinsson instead of ASP, I figured ASP would be more attractive b/c he's a RD. I'd rather keep a RD prospect vs LD, even with Edvinsson looking good at NHL, just my opinion though. Andrew Basha might be available at 15 OA, and he's a speedy pest. There probably isn't a "Brady Tkachuk" in this year's draft, but I think a whole lot of areas can be addressed with 3 1st round picks this year...

I'm just guessing maybe people think ASP will be valuable cuz his game is flashier. For example it seems like if/when ASP makes the show, his career earning potential should be more than a player like Edvinsson.

This is not very far from what Buffalo got for Eichel... They got 16 OA + 64 OA + Tuch + Krebs (former 17 OA). I await your homer spin about how that trade doesn't count or how Tkachuk is so much better than Eichel.

biggest difference is that eichel wanted out and had a neck injury. tkachuk has not asked out publicly and he has no injury concerns. If you cant even take that into consideration I have to say you must be the stupidest hockey fan of all time. not to mention that tkachuk is unique player. There are a ton of #1c in the league. Please tell me homer how many similar players to brady tkachuk are in the league.

Also you have still not touched on why the sens would do this. Please homer tell me what incentive the sens have to do this. I am still waiting for your reasoning. Come on cant you think of one excuse. Why would the sens trade their captain and ppg physical winger to a divisional team for a mid first and prospect. Please give me some good reasons to laugh at.

Like you have to be the biggest homer in the world to think if brady tkachuk was on the market that no team would offer more than a decent prospect and a mid first. Like come on.

Maybe try answering some of the questions instead of avoiding like a coward since you know deep down your proposal is crap

No need for insults. I'm not stupid for making a fantasy trade on a website designed for that, none of this is real bro. I did answer your main concern, with a real world example for comparison. Just as predicted you don't like the example. Then you seem to be suggesting Tkachuk is better than all #1c in the league... As for your question about others like him I'd say Matthew is pretty similar, and he got traded... Is that what u consider fair? Huberdeau, Weegar, an AHL guy and Florida's 2025 1st?

I'm being pretty objective here, using real trades, but I'm not that big on ranting... U go ahead though if that's how u roll.
