Canucks aren’t moving Demko

You never know, a great coach use to say I’d rather get out a year early then a year late on a great player and Canucks get their RHD #2 below $5,000,000 and Holtz to play with Hog and Petey and a 2nd rounder seems fair to me and help both teams in both conferences as Devils have a young goalie to give Demko rest in the dog days of the season to keep him fresh and then have a goalie duel with Sherterkin like 8 times a year if not more including the playoffs, sounds like Demko might help even the odds in the cross Hudson river battle

Ye that's what the Devils need... someone who's injury prone

better then paying through the nose for an ageing Markstrom and at least with Demko it's 2 years and less cap hit so no needing to retain
you could try with Allen and then be looking for another goalie at the all star break when Allen has a sub .900 save percentage

we'd be looking for another goalie anyway if Demko's out with another LBI

I still dont get how people can put Allen in any trades that involve the Devils, Fitzgerald is already on record saying that Allen will be our 1B next year and that he is looking for a solid 1A to tandem with him.

Then i dont get how by saying he is going "big game hunting" for a goalie that people can think he means Demko or Markstrom

Even 5% more reading of teams news would eliminate bad armchair trades like this

That’s said to not cause panic, I can see the Devils taking a swing for Demko or Markstrom but if you would rather have Markstrom over Demko then I have some magic beans to sell whoever would want Markstrom over Demko

I wouldnt want either at any price
