I like Byfield but that feels like a lot for someone who hasn't significantly outproduced Peterka

I don't see the point for buffalo. They've made their choice about who their #1 and #2 centers, both locked up for many years. Any moves now should be made to address the 3c spot, that's just begging for a vet 2 way center. And adding more grit (not 4th line plugs, mind you), and two way players. I would also be looking to add defensive players with grit to the defense. Paying a premium for a center to just move cozens to wing doesn't make sense unless adams gets canned and the new gm wants to tear it down.

Kings trade isn’t happening- NEITHER SIDE does it

What happened to Turcotte anyways?
Loved him in his draft year, but it seems like he’s pretty much disappeared since

The LA trade doesn’t make any sense for either side. Make the Jack Drury deal if Carolina will do it, and you find an appropriate right handed defender to replace Jokiharju.

Byfield will probably be a LW in the future, as the OP has him here.

His career has been derailed by injuries, much like Kirby Dach. He's shown flashes when healthy, but we're going to have to be as patient with him as we will with DuBois.

LAK is definitely not doing that. BUF has a great foundation, they have a 1/2C combo, they have 3 top pairing d guys, they just need somebody to step up and show that locker room what it takes to win consistently because they have a lot of talent and in an ideal world if they could move Skinner that would help. Sometimes for young talented teams it’s not about adding talent necessarily but removing any voice that’s holding them back. Who that is I dunno.

After missing the playoffs for 13 straight years, it's more than one thing. One of our previous coaches tried to hold him accountable by scratching him and dropping him to our 4th line, but he's making 9m per long term with a nmc, so Skinner just waited him out. Skinners goal song should really be "my way" by frank sinatra (or the sex pistols), because that's how he rolls. When granato came on as coach, he had the players play a wide open system (to build confidence for the young players), like pond hockey. Wanna guess who liked that? That's not a player I want around a young team, and lindy ruff is almost certainly going to expect some level of accountability from all the forwards.
