Florida gonna save themselves some money this series. They don't need to get hotels because they're in Boston's head.

Berube to Toronto just feels obvious to me. Kind of like Treliving last year. It’s not a lock but I’d be a little surprised to see them go in any other direction based on how many boxes he checks off

LAK - Hiller
NJD - Sullivan
PIT - Keefe
SJS - ?? (Pandolfo?)
SEA - Leach
TOR - Berube
WPG - ?

(Perhaps)

The hockey gods evened it out with the Zadorov goal. No way should that go in.

Yah I feel like that makes sense on each option. Though to clarify, is the Sullivan getting fired stuff an actual rumour or just speculation?

Nikita Zadorov is earning himself more money with every playoff game he plays in. Hoping the Canucks can keep him but not sure that happens at this point as he may price himself out

My advice I would move on as contract fever has fooled a lot of teams

They get paid then come down to earth

Yeah if he gets 5M+ or even around 6M with how he’s been playing I’d want the Canucks to stay away

Then it's Tyler Myers all over again.

Boston needs to get their stuff together, allowing 4 PP goals and only having 17 shots (9 of which came in the 3rd) is not a winning recipe, they really need to find a way to be better

Boston had similar issues vs Toronto, Toronto just had a hard time solving Sway.

I also think the captaincy is hindering Marchand. He's more effective when he's allowed to flirt with "the line"

Bennett body slammed and concussed Knies last season and didn't even get a penalty. Don't get your hopes up

It’s one of those ‘rumors that never die’…and Dubas had a chance to dismiss it and only said something like, “we are having discussions about future”…so that was like pouring gasoline on it.

Kevin Weekes is close with NJD front office and has broken many ‘management’ type of stories (he was first to break the hiring of Brunette, Lindy’s extension, and the naming of Hischier as captain). Weekes has been one of the people talking about Sullivan-to-NJD….and has even suggested it may come via trade. He is usually fairly reliable…so there could be something to it. It would make sense why they have taken so long (and one theory on interviewing Keefe…was to nudge Dubas along a bit).

I have yet to see an angle that actually shows Bennett doing anything illegal to Marchand, I know he has another hand but none of the angles I've seen shows what he does with it, they only show the shoulder hit

Check Barstool, looks clear to me even though he hid it and had the board-side in his favour - short right mitt square to the chin...

I think Keefe is gonna end up in NJ, I think WIN lands Evason and McLellan will probably be hired somewhere

Oh, and IMO, Granato would be the best fit in SJ. Look what he did with a trainwreck of a Buffalo Sabres team in 2021. He would get to coach some good players, notably Mukhamadulin, Celebrini and Smith and could be their coach for the next 4-5 years

Maybe. But the business side complicates it.

Keefe is still under contract with Leafs. NJD will still be paying a portion of Lindy contract, so probably bids low on Keefe. If Leafs approve, the balance is all dead money. If they wait for another team to offer more $, it would eat a bigger chunk out of their sunk costs.

Right, but I could use this same argument for Sullivan, as he's still under contract in PIT

But the alternative to Sullivan to NJD is Sullivan stays in Pittsburgh…and they carry on.

The alternative to Keefe to NJD is Keefe goes to another team that may pay off a bigger chunk of his deal.
