Monahan : a first or equivalent prospect or a Copp return (2 second, one conditionnal, and a prospect)

Monahan in the range of a 1st. Could be a 2nd + prospect, a late 1st, or an equivalent prospect.
Middle 6C that could be under $1M cap hit, move up and down the lineup as needed, and strong in the dot.
He'll be in demand, but a lot of teams are missing high picks after last year's spending, so there may not be as much of a bidding war.

Allen for a forward prospect that hasn't established themselves yet or is a bit of a project but still might have NHL potential, like a possible late bloomer.
A pick without retention would be in the low range anyway and we'd rather not retain. A pick might need to be involved, but to a 3rd party for retention, not to Montreal.
The other option is to take a 3rd(ish), perhaps with conditions, and take back an Armia-like contract. If NJ wanted to send back Vanecek we could buy him out, for example.
