Personally I don’t think he’s worth that much. I’d hate to see him leave but he’s a guy I definitely see getting overpaid after how well he played in the playoffs. The most I’d be comfortable giving him is around 4.5M

Don’t think the Canucks are interested in moving Garland, but that is a very strong offer. Can’t see the Kings moving Anderson though
Zadorov probably gets 5M minimum, possibly as much as 6M

Canucks pass easily. Pettersson isn’t being moved, but hypothetically if he was it would include either Tage+ or Dahlin to coming to Vancouver

To be fair the Hronek for Batherson trade isn’t that bad. Put up nearly 30 goals and 65 points and has a great value contract
The Pettersson and Boeser deals are awful though

After accepting the trade I assume. Because that trade is heavily lopsided in the Rangers favour

Highly Unlikely But It Helps Ottawa Long Term
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>That type of offer just has a lot of room to backfire. Hronek flops and gets flipped for Pennies . Lekkerimaki can’t adapt to the NHL like Holtz . And late 1sts aren’t a top prospect</div></div>
Or it could end up being a complete steal for Ottawa
Hronek continues to breakout and becomes an undisputed top pair guy
Lekkerimaki lives up to his potential and becomes a star winger
Ottawa hits on the late 1st and takes a player who ends up being a superstar (like Boston with Pastrnak at 25 or Dallas with Johnston at 23)
Tkachuk continues to be right around a PPG player with great physicality and poor defense, but never takes that step to superstardom

If you’d rather a top 10 pick that’s fine, but calling that offer quantity over quality is just false

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheGoalieGuru</b></div><div>This is Brady Tkachuk. Hronek isn’t worth 7M a year to Vancouver when Willander is right around the corner.</div></div>
Hronek is absolutely worth 7M a year to the Canucks. We’ve been looking for a top RHD for years, and now we have one. If you can sign Hronek for 7M you definitely keep him. If he’s set on 8M and nothing less then yeah you can move him
And while Brady is great this is too much for him. This is the type of package you give up for someone like his brother

That Columbus trade is horrible for the Canucks. You hope Fantilli becomes as good as EP40, so no reason to make that move. Especially considering we’re also losing Garland

Elias Pettersson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>He literally spent half the time he played on the wing... his 2nd and 3rd most common lines? He's on the wing in both, because he didn't center the powerplay unit, Miller did. Hence, almost half his ice time, he's not playing as a C.
Pettersson has 1 season outproducing Aho. Aho has 4 outproducing Pettersson. Aho is better defensively, plays a higher quality of competition, and does all of this while in a Rod Brind'amour system that is designed to kill offensive talent. Aho's better. There is no debate here
KK's not a bad defensive center lmao... you like trying to use stats from years ago to prove points. Let's look at 2022-23. 1.88 GA/60, ,1.98 xGA/60, both among the elite in the league. That's playing 2nd line minutes btw! Not a cap dump bud</div></div>
Literally the only lines he was on the wing for were the Lotto Line (not 100% of the time with the Lotto Line) and his lines for the last couple games in the playoffs where he played with Lindholm or Miller

The impossible
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>And Miky hasn't been good since the ACL injury... Necas literally played C in the playoffs (and at a roughly 70 point pace over 82 games btw), and Hronek is a 40-45 point RD. Necas is more valuable than Hronek, KK is more valuable than Miky</div></div>
He actually played very good while playing with the torn ACL (23 goal, 50 point pace although Pettersson was a big reason for that). He was also solid the first ~20-25 games this season then fell off a cliff because he couldn’t score to save his life. He had 1 goal in his last 65-70 games, and should get some better shooting luck next season. But despite his offensive struggles he was still very good defensively
