If it'd be CGY 1st, then yes as it should be top 15 pick, but the condition is that it'll be FLA 1st instead if I'm not completely wrong. And then it's not that good deal. Late 1st vs ~40pick ain't enough to take Gallagher.

Was just about to say the same. Would have to happen during the draft if there is still someone available they really like. Value is pretty much correct though.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RecycleShark</b></div><div>https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/four-mitch-marner-trades-the-maple-leafs-could-consider/
This article has a 3 way trade in which the Flyers wind up with Marner and SJ gets Bonk. Take TML out of it and it's basically Ferraro and SJ's 2024 2nd for Bonk. If that's the price for Bonk the Sharks should decline imo.</div></div>
Wouldn't be the first time i'm wrong, but I'm 99% sure Briere ain't trying to trade for Marner. And even if he would be, it would focus around TK, not Bonk.
And if for some reason they'd be trading Bonk to SJ, it would really focus around Musty or Bystedt+, not any of these spare parts proposed in here.

Yes, this would again be no from Flyers. They need Frost a lot more than Liljegren, and C is already our position of weakness.

Cost
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cooliny</b></div><div>Frost probably costs a 2nd.</div></div>
2nd shouldn't be even close. According to Dom Luszczyszyn model, he's on par with Casey Mittelstadt as a player. Mittelstadt is somewhat better offensively, Frost is superior defensively, both have the same market value, Frost is a year younger and Frost still has 1yr left on his deal, and will be RFA after that.
Not saying he's gonna get similar return as CM, but i'm also quite sure they ain't trading him unless it's in a package where they get straight upgrade or younger guy who has the potential to be better. C is already Flyers' position of weakness, so they are not trading him for spare parts.

CBJ 2nd would also be -25, they're most likely keeping their pick this year.
But Flyers has no reason to trade futures for cap space which they don't need. They ain't signing Skjei or Toffoli.

"We're still going to respect that timeline that we've put in place. That hasn't changed. If there's a trade that makes sense that can bring more talent, and there's a way that makes sense. Maybe it's a hockey trade. "
"I still am not quite there as far as saying that we're a contender," he admitted. "I don’t believe we’re at the point where it’s time to let some young assets go to try to get better, quicker. We're not there yet. - GM Danny Briere
And he also said they're not going to throw lot of money at a free agent to come in.
So no, they're not going to trade futures for cap space that they don't need.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dom1422</b></div><div> Either way we can agree to disagree. It’s a pretty mild deal. Reminds me of when they tried to get a washed up Krug for Hayes. Mostly a nothing trade, just sending players to another situation that might be better for each player.</div></div>
Well Hayes case is different as they wanted to get rid of certain players (Hayes, TDA and Provorov). But yeah, we can agree to disagree. I'll be disappointed if they trade Risto for Anderson and don't see any reason to do it. And Habs should be happy to have some leadership and a guy who can potentially hit 20 goals.

Habs 2024-25
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dom1422</b></div><div>Yeah they fixed him by barely playing him. He went from 23 minutes a game in Buffalo to 15 in Philly on the 3rd pairing. You guys probably would’ve gotten a 4th with retention at the deadline. He’s a negative asset. Btw in this deal you guys also get a younger quality bottom pairing right shot defenseman at a very low cap hit and a 3rd.
As far as wingers go, I have a feeling you guys will trade a few of those away including Konecny. I know you guys surprised this year but don’t forget it’s still a rebuid. Anderson isn’t supposed to be helping you win, but he would add vital leadership that will go out the door this is season, and that you no longer have in Couturier. Someone who trusts Torts and who will relay his message. You might not like it, but I could see it being a real option.</div></div>
Oh I know they're rebuilding, sometimes it even feels that I'm pretty much the only one on this site who gets it. Even if they move some wingers, there are also prospects in line waiting for their turn.
And for Risto, yes they reduced his ice time and made him shutdown D, who averaged 16:40 with injuries this season. And that role change has been the working concept for him. I just don't get what makes you think Anderson brings leadership and is a guy who trusts Torts compared to Risto. Risto even said that he wishes he had Torts as his coach when he entered NHL.
Big physical RHD will always have some value. And I believe they would rather keep him and get his value higher, than acquire even more expensive 4th liner. They ain't trading the better player for more expensive, worse player just to lose some games more.

Stevie take a look at this buddy
You've got 4th on wrong side in Forsberg trade and I think Flyers would still decline.
And that's not enough for TK and Laughton. Don't think that's enough for Flyers FO for TK only. Starting point would most likely have to be prospect with potential to become 1C or high enough draft pick.
And they (over)value Laughton a lot. He's the glue guy and team leader, Danny has already stated that he ain't trading Laughton for a fair price. Is that smart? Probably not, as he was only good on PK last season, hopefully he bounces back to be the player he was.

Why would rebuilding team trade 2nd for some cap space they don't need? Atkinson and Petersen (and Johansen) contracts ends next year anyways.
Sharks ain't trading futures now to dump Vlasic either.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dom1422</b></div><div>That’s like me saying Risto kills the deal.. A bottom pairing Dman at 5 mill? That’s no better than a bottom 6 winger making 5 mill. Risto is untradeable, like Anderson. Both are equally bad deals, but Anderson under Torts will be rejuvenated so Flyers will end up with the better player. Either way it’s two rebuilding teams moving players who don’t fit the team they’re on, with basically the same contracts. Anderson will fit Torts system better than Marty’s and Risto will fit Marty’s better than Torts’.</div></div>
Risto has actually been good for the last season and half. Shaw and Torts have actually fixed his playing. And we already have logjam on wings. Risto is also actually also tradeable, there were rumors of contenders interested of him (with like 1,6M retention), but he got injured. You can't say the same about Anderson.
