(MIN/BOS) - Maroon for Toporowski, 2026 6th (BOS)
The fact Minnesota got an actual decent young player for Maroon makes them the winners here.

Kuznetsov to CAR

I think it is a rental and if it does not work they buy him out this summer. It is risky but if for some reason they find a bit of old Kuzy it will be a steal.

Going from having McDavid and Draisaitl to DET does have a way of impacting guys
Never seemed to fit there

Good depth addition for the Rangers, although I cant imagine Rangers fans are very happy about this being one of their only moves so far haha

I dont like this at all. Still has another year left too even with retention at basicslly 4 mil. I think he's cooked. Granted it was the full hit but he cleared waivers. I don't like this for the Canes...

Calgary Flames signed Daniil Miromanov (2 Years / $1,250,000 AAV)
It’s not a ton, but not sure what he’s done to deserve over $1mil/yr, especially when he hasn’t even played a game for Calgary yet. I don’t really get the rush to sign him, but he’s committed now I guess and joins our growing pool of Russian Defensemen

(SEA/NYR) - Wennberg for 2024 2nd (NYR), 2025 4th (DAL)
Exactly who we wanted, exactly the ideal return.
Fair I think.
Deadline day came early i guess
Time to see what we do for 1RW.

(SEA/NYR) - Wennberg for 2024 2nd (NYR), 2025 4th (DAL)
Solid deal for the Rangers. I really like Wennberg, I think he is a sneakily good addition to fill in at 3C in Chytils absence. I'm very excited to see what he can do, this is some good depth for the Rangers
Shocked Seattle didn't get more but they didn't do poorly or anything. They made out pretty well. Fair trade all in all

Depth, depth, depth and more depth. Should replace Kakko well on the 3rd line for a reasonable cost.

(ANA/TBL/EDM) - Henrique, Carrick, 2024 7th (ANA) for Taylor, 2024 7th (TBL), 2025 5th (TBL) for 2024 1st (EDM), 2025 4th (EDM), 2025 5th (EDM)
I love the fit, but I dont love the cost. Henrique will fit in very well in Edmonton and gives them some great depth up front. Plus, they fulfilled their quota of adding another former Leaf in Sam Carrick.
I dont love that Anaheim used their final retention slot of Carrick, but this was the right move for them. Getting a first here was huge. The Ducks definitely won the deal, but I still really like it for the OIlers. Ill happily cheer on Henrique, hope he gets his chance at a Cup

Yeah more than likely. For how he's been playing this year it's well earned, shouldn't be a burden long term if the cap keeps rising too
