Playoff push
TB doesn't do undersized defensemen. They aren't overpaying Clifton his $3,000,000+ he isn't really any better than what they have anyway.
Cooper loves Mikey Eyssimont, and they're not throwing the limited draft capital on a guy who at best is a 6th defenseman.

It's absolutely beautiful, much cheaper taxes, be part of building something from the ground up. The team will be very good very soon.

I’m not sure what Blake can do but double down, a responsible GM would bow out because he made too many mistakes (moving Vilardi and Walker, Petersen, and now PLD).</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>NMC Jully 1st, Kings are stuck with him the entire run and are not looking into a buyout. If Byfield takes his role as the 3C and moves PLD to the wing the contract is likely salvageable. Watched him every game, he's frustrating, but folks act like he can't play top-6 minutes and has zero compete. He can, but LAs defensive system is greek to him and we did him no favor with linemates. New coach or new system, he'll return to form, but still look lazy and make boneheaded plays.
The thing that's frustrating is he's going to be a 60 point player next season and people will say Blake is a genius for not trading him.</div></div>
They should hope the Cup ends before 6/22 so they can buy him out at 1/3 price before he turns 26

Signing a 3-4 year deal allows him to flipped soon, same with Hedman, Vasi, and Kucherov in that time where you can gets ransoms and jumpstart a rebuild.
Right now you guys literally have no real prospects and it’s gonna painful for a long time if you guys let all ur players just keep extending as they get older</div></div>
Window isn't shut this team has most bounces go their way yeah they can( every cup champ gets a lions share of bounces)
you also don't seem to get is Stamkos isn't signing any deal where he gets flipped easily anywhere.

Without 60% of the East being disappointing and if Kucherov has a typical season for himself Tampa probably isn’t even if the playoffs to begin with this year, u got ur cups but seems to me like it’s time to start getting assets back for guys while they have value. Obviously Stamkos and Duclair are UFAs but signing them to short term deals and higher AAV’s and flipping them at the deadline might make the most sense</div></div>
No chance Stamkos signs a flippable type deal. Dude WANTS TO BE HERE go listen to his exit presser on the lightning YouTube channel.

To counter Sergachev not missing over half the season. Vasilevskiy not missing the first 1/4 season. Them not putting in a brand new defensive system. Maybe Jeannot finally can stay healthy for more than a handful of games at a time. Should all factor into them being able lets also see who they sign.

Listening to Julien Brisebois in his end of season media availability it doesn't sound like Sheary is going anywhere. (My opinion of his words). There is the disclaimer someone could miraculously make an offer he can't refuse. (Though I highly doubt it.)

You either chose to ignore that cause you have a personal problem with me (unlikely you know me personally) or you're displaying cognitive bias, assuming I've got it out for the panthers. Rest assured I both a) think the panthers are a great hockey team and in a good position to win and b) couldn't possibly care less about that org lol</div></div>
No not at all being tough and durable has nothing to do with playing heavy. You can be durable and play a very finesse game you can be tough and not play a tough heavy game which again was the infected message.

No I'd argue you actually did."Panthers are 13th in terms of average weight of each player." Clearly gives the impression they're not a heavy play team . There's a difference in being tough and Heavy you can be tough and mentally (which is what your comments infer), and not play a heavy game which Florida does and extremely well.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stadel</b></div><div>or our definitions of physical are different? They throw a lot of borderline hits and whine a lot. They are also very talented all throughout the lineup. That's the key to success. That's what I'm arguing the Sabres should do. Instead of adding physicality at the cost of talent, they should internalize the idea that its not about playing fair. That's what the panthers do well. It's not just a couple of tough guys setting the tone. Everyone from line 1 to 4 and on D has bought into that message.</div></div>
I never said they played heavy in Lieu of being talented ,but they're a very physical team.

Panthers are 13th in terms of average weight of each player. Im not saying they aren't tough/durable. They clearly are. You have to be to survive having a target on your back because of how you play.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stadel</b></div><div>a) that's a bar (jost/robinson) that most of rochester could clear. And b), why does this matter? year after year we see that hit totals have absolutely no correlation to success in the post season. People look at teams like Florida and come to that conclusion.
Florida isn't a heavy team, it's a competitive and whiny team. That's what they are good at. They goad their opponents into believing that toughness is their issue by throwing borderline hits, cheap punches after whistles, and still images of 3rd pair d-men screaming at rookie goalies. Not to mention Maurice acting like a toddler on the bench. But that's exactly what we should want from the Sabres.
We don't need sherrif Jeannot throwing 200 hits and taking ill advised penalties. We need to double down on the offense and beat teams like florida at their own game without getting away from ours.</div></div>
Florida isn't a heavy team. Clearly you don't watch them at all they led the league in PIMs and are a very heavy team
