Yeah interesting. He does seems like a Utah pick. The only rebuttle I'd say is hmyhey did that with Simashev last year and it wouldn't shock me if THEY took Parekh or even Buium to get some offensive power on the back end to go with monsters Simashev and Lamareaux. I think this draft will be so fun to see who goes where. And I'm

Why not Silayev
I think there's a serious case for Silayev for MTL. For this draft, I started asking myself who do I think will impact the game more 5 years down the road and come playoff time because the prospects are so close from 4-12. I think I'm taking a potential 24 minute monster defenseman, I don't care what way he shoots. Fact is, this kind of player isn't available in a trade or FA (unless you're the sens and let him go in 07 lol) . Im secretly hoping he falls to the sens at 7 and they don't fumble

Pageau and wahlstrom arent either. Hence the pick for a player that can contribute. Is it worth dumping Pageau and wahlstrom with 18th overall? Could be. But it's not this outrageous take you're making it out to be

Tuch
Karlsson
Hagel
Kane
Meier seems to have turned a corner, tippet a shot monster. Both are good in banger leagues. Your goalies are set. Hard to say how many players you should keep without know if you get other picks or the finer details of the league. If you need at least 13, I'd say add Karlsson and Kane. Predictible vets. Hagel if you're concerned about Kane's durability.

I agree I don't think Levshunov gets past Anaheim. Would be a great pick for them.
Personally, I love Yakemchuk to the Sens in their spot. Sorry scick lol! but I love Yakemchuk's floor more than Parekh with just as much offense. Parekh has that Makar/Karlsson in him, but Yak's slightly lower offense is made up for by his hockey IQ, but then add the size with his skating and projectable every situation minute man and it's kind of a perfect fit for ottawa. That's tough to pass on imo. I get the Parekh love though

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>Yeah I think they’ll get a goalie just hard to predict</div></div>
Goalie blaming is a cop out for bad teams. I don't think Korpisalo has been great, it's been bad. But with how that team played in front of all their goalies from November to March, no one's stopping pucks.
In the last 2 weeks, their defensive play has been miles better and shocker, the goalies and numbers look good. There's so much nuance that goes into how goalies play based on what's going on in front of them. If they know they have bad coverage/system in front of them, it can mess with their game.
Im not willing to write off Korpisalo yet based what how I saw this team perform on the ice. Talbot looked horrible here... Goes to the kings, has a 2.5gaa. Korpisalo went from a 3.15 gaa in Columbus to 2.15 on kings. Goes to sens, almost worst in the league. Coincidence? No chance.

Well the stats would say otherwise. He is a number 1 on a lot of teams and how you worded it sounds better than it is. Norris winner last year for Chabot... but taking in age, contract into account and the probability he had the one last great season in him? On a team letting him do whatever he wanted with no competition for pp time? These factors matter, and its poor asset management. Minute munchers don't just show up and no dman is perfect so I think accepting Chabot for who he is would help this fanbase imo. He is literally in year 1 of his prime years and Karlsson can fall off the map next year, who knows. This has instant regret trade all over it

Poor asset management by sens though. And seeing that pens essentially paid cap dumps and 1st for him... When he was playing better in SJ (not saying he's playing bad in Pitt, just not as dominate), Chabot is worth more than that
This hate for Chabot is wild on this site tbh lol

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TJTwolf</b></div><div>Avs decline the first trade but you have to think they consider the second. It's a huge overpay but it's also Sid.</div></div>
I had it as a whole package just didn't put them together. Still. Tons going out of Colorado and Crosby would control everything, maybe pens have less leverage and its an overpay. Who cares lol. But I just want to see Crosby and Mackinnon for 2 playoff runs. Be a huge win for the league, seeing a giant name move cities. Fans would hate it, hate them for being a super team, other fans would love the story. It would be incredible talking points for a year
And as much as pens fans might be super sad/mad, they get great pieces to keep or flip to build out their team. And who knows, maybe Sid signs back after his contract is done? Retire as a penguin. That's the ultimate payback, not that he owes the pens anything
